Any times bring my guests to Sugarbush they always comment on how friendly everyone is. And the wine is so good. It's hard to say what my favorite is, they're all so good. Any time of the year so a visit is always an experience. Summer time they offer gourmet grilled cheese. In winter come snowshoeing in their own sugarbush.

Our family, including teenaged children and grandparents, went to visit Rob and Sally Peck's Sugarbush winery recently. These gracious hosts were just starting to introduce gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches to their visitors and I must say we all really enjoyed our meals. We chose the cheddar and bacon as well as the Brie and apple sandwiches. They came with a delicious homemade coleslaw and a sauce of your own choosing. Of course, we couldn't have lunch in a winery without some wine and this year we had some of the Maple Red. We bought some extra bottles to bring back for my school's International Day in September. It was a delicious smooth red wine with the very Canadian addition of maple syrup. During our visit, there were at least two limousines full of rather thirsty-looking ladies as well as cyclists so Sugarbush is an obviously popular stop along the PEC winery tours. All the staff, including those working with the wine tasting, store and food preparation were knowledgeable and personable. We would definitely recommend this winery as a must-see when planning a visit to The County. The smallest county in Ontario is fast becoming a well-known tourist destination: we even saw some advertising in the Heathrow airport in London, UK, on the way home to Switzerland!

Yesterday, myself and 21 year old daughter and 18 year old daughter visited the Sugar Bush Winery. What a wonderful experience! We had stopped at lunch and it was busy - three limousines and lots of cars. The owners, Rob and Sally are very knowledgeable and friendly, it is obvious they LOVE what they do. Fantastic wine and beautiful surroundings. We had an amazing lunch of gourmet grilled cheese panninis - prepared and served by a lovely teen from the County. A must stop if you have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Prince Edward County.

One of my favourite stops. Good wine and I've had the owners serve me on both visits which makes for a nice experience. Their new puppy is adorable.

This was a smaller winery well worth the visit

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about their product

The wine selection was good and tasty

The wine with their own maple syrup was great.

This was stop #2 of three today. The first thing you see getting out of the car is the exquisitely manicured vineyards, straight out of a postcard. One of the owners was in vat area (garage) and was happy to chat with us about his winemaking and local resto options. We had a quick walk through the vineyard and admired the 15 year old vines. After that, a quite thorough sampling of many of the wines on offer, along with crackers. Some of the wines are already sold out for the season which tells me business is good. I bought three bottles, each of which has a little something special. The service and experience was great, beginning to end. This wasn't where we had planned to stop, but I'm really glad we did. Dog friendly and highly recommended!

We recently enjoyed another fantastic day touring wineries throughout Prince Edward County. Our last stop was Sugarbush Vineyards and as usual, we left with several bottles of their "Not Red". As the name implies it's a great little white wine. This family operated vineyard is a "must stop" for anyone who enjoys a great Pino Grigio or Reisling. I would highly recommend stopping in for taste. You won't regret it!

Small winery with good selection and award winning wines. Be sure to stop you wont be disappointed. this is a small artisanal vinyard that uses only their own grapes. We loved their Gewurztraminer 2014 and cabernet franc 2014.

Combining an outdoor activity like snowshoeing with wine tasting is pure genius. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for a one hour snowshoe trek around it. You can rent them for $15, which also gets you a wine tasting when your walk is over. It also helps that the owners are lovely people and passionate about what they do.

Had a blast and would definitely go back!
