Very pretty sandy beach and dunes. Nice area to walk. Park was closed but it was safe to park on the road and walk in. Beautiful area!

Great option for a quieter, less busy atmosphere.
So relaxing. More pebbles than Sandbanks.
Some people might be turned off by this.
Beach seems to have more waves, which makes it so much fun. Really enjoyable and very relaxing. Also, since the parking is across the beach your car is always in plain view and short walk in case you forgot something.
Would highly recommend & would love to go back one day!

We were very impressed how beautiful and clean this beach is, sand and pebble, breathtaking views. We liked this beach much better than Sandbanks. There’s a bay side which the water is more calm for little kids to swim.

Very impressed with how clean, clear and warm the water was! The dunes were cool and the beach long enough to social distance.

Been to Sandbanks, busy fun beaches. This North Beach was great just to relax and enjoy the wind and views. Few people, couples, families. Nice to walk about the smaller dunes or the shoreline. Pleasant surprise! Little shade, so bring your own tents or umbrellas.

My Great Great Grandmother often spent time here in the 1850's when the beach and property around North Bay were owned by her her sister and brother in law, Joseph Pierson.

It seems like no matter how hot it is elsewhere the beach is cool and pleasant and so relaxing. Nice shore on Lake Ontario and separate small lake beach which is great for kids.

Nice long stretch of beach but too pebbly to lay down on your towel, and very few picnic tables to enjoy lunch or snack and relax. Extraordinary view on Lake Ontario, however!!

Okay beach, good alternative to Sandbanks. Water and beach seem a little dirty and beach is packed on weekends but alright overall.

are dogs allowed?

Check the Ontario Parks website under Frequently Asked Questions under the heading, 'Dogs/Pets'. The short answer seems to be no dogs on the beach at North Beach. Sandbanks seems to allow dogs, but it would be best to check directly with the park. Usually a contact phone number can be found under the individual park listings.
