This is a lovely little winery tucked away in a slightly less traveled part of Prince Edward County. The owners and winemakers limit their output to small batches of a few varietals and blends, but what’s offered is quite outstanding and done with tremendous care and attention to detail. Wine tastings are a great experience, as Dave G. himself would share his consummate knowledge of wine and lore. There is a lovely garden filled with flowers and eclectic sculptures to linger in. Highly recommended for a visit.

Joni was absolutely incredible, I wasn’t able to taste the wine as they are trying to be safe during COVID. But Joni’s explanation of the Cuvée and the Chardonnay sold me right away. This is an incredible example of a small winery in the county

Absolutely my favourite winery in the county. Joni does an incredible job explaining the wines and their profiles. The wines are so sought after that supply can run short later in the season, so if you find one you like, I suggest purchasing multiples.

I am in love with David's Red Cuvee. Perhaps the BEST Canadian red wine I have ever experienced. Since the first bottle I purchased in 2016, every subsequent year has been wonderful. It's my go-to wine for special occasions.

This winery opened not even three months ago and I can't get enough of the owners and their unique styles of wine, style and presentation. These are some of the most ethical and hard working people I've ever met in the county and as they opened their doors in August 2014, their dreams became reality. A quite opening but word travelled fast about how David (A senior grandmaster winemaker) has has made liquid gold for those who are lucky enough to discover their 5.5 acre winery.
Wines are in relative short supply here as the wines have been selling very well and production is limited. Be sure to spend some time in the gardens as well as the owners have poured their own eclectic mix of asian, european and county cultures to create a wonderful setting for a picnic in the gardens of eden.
Come with time to spare as you'll likely not want to leave after a tasting and chit chat with either of the owners who are just two great down to earth people with passion for gardening and winemaking. I'd give them a rating of 6 if I could!!

My husband and I stopped here on an organized wine tour. What a wonderful way to start the afternoon. The woman (owner) providing our tasting was informative, friendly and absolutely lovely! The way she taught us to "taste" all the wines was appreciated and won't be forgotten. We loved the quaintness and beautiful cellar and gardens. We haven't yet tried the bottle we bought, but I trust it will be as lovely as she and the experience, both were!

We very much appreciated her letting us try the GewĂĽrztraminer , as this is a personal favourite.
Highly recommend as a first stop on your winery tour. Personal touch was lovely!

Our host was as amazing as her and her husbands wine. They have some rare products so good people put their name on a list for bottles to be made a year and a half from now.

They do however have other wines available year round, but good luck getting some port. Talking with her was inspiring, and the grounds and tasting bar are beautiful. Highly recommended.

We stopped here simply by luck having never heard of Damaine Darius. We had an hour plus visit with the owners and a very enjoyable and informative tasting. I'm not a chardonnay fan, but liked theirs. All their wines are beautifully balanced.

At this lovely family run winery you can not only explained how wine is made, but also have a wonderful tasting of the great wines they produce.
There's a garden wich is ideal for a picknick or just sit down, relax and enjoy the wine.

Three of us travelled by bicycle north of Wellington and we saw the sign at Wilson Road. We rode the long driveway to the winery and liked it instantly. Outside we spoke for a while with Dave Gillingham, the co-owner and winemaker. What a wealth of knowledge. Then we experienced with his wife Joan a wonderful wine tasting. She beautifully explained the different wines and we enjoyed very much her passion. And - all four wines, we tasted, were superb. Especially their Gewuertztraminer. It was phenomenal! Unfortunately I took only one photo. Probably to much "distracted" by the whole experience. We will definitively come back in a few weeks.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of meeting Joanie (wife of the winemaker). Joanie's down-to-earth personality and sociability made our visit to Domaine Darius a stand out experience in a county with numerous wine tastings. They are committed to delivering excellent customer service. She was very knowledgeable about their products and patiently answered our many questions.
