A little off the beaten track but an oasis. Even better in the spring when gardens in bloom. Great little cafe, family run by the looks. Good value. A bonus for train buffs is the two trains at 1400hrs. Continue on for alternate (and better) route to Toowoomba.

Family friends and I journey by train to this place. I was taken by the beautifully tended gardens. It was raining this Carnival day so sought shelter for our picnic. Very refreshing and lovely way to pass most of the day.

Came across this one by getting lost in the area, thought we were going to a lookout. I have always had a passion for old railway stations so was pleasantly surprised when we came across this one late in the afternoon, cafe closed etc. Most definitely worth a visit, good historical restoration and lovely gardens, good parking and cafe facilities... Beautiful old train station surrounded by gardens and flowers. We stopped buy later on a Friday afternoon at about 3 pm just as the cafe was closing. The lovely staff were happy to make us a last minute coffee before closing. We were also there at the right time to see the change of drivers for the two diesel coal... More

Beautiful old railway station. Perfectly landscaped, lots of flowers. Nice little cafe. Great little place for a romantic afternoon or a day out with the family.

This is my most favourite spot in all the Toowoomba Region. I have had family picnics here, been there as a couple, even just by myself! The peace and quiet is perfect for relaxing, OR (as I have done), catching up on some work on my laptop! There's a great little coffee shop onsite, and as is standard for Toowoomba,... More

was following a scenic tour of Toowoomba when we came upon this railway/cafe. what a picturesque place. The gardens were in full bloom and looked amazing. The cafe was run by some very friendly and helpful people and their coffee and food was lovely. What a lovely setting.

We really enjoyed walking around and having a look at the history in this place we even managed to be there when the train went past which was great - they need a sign starting what time the trains come as were were lucky to still be there when it went through others have missed out.

Beautifully kept historic railway station, with a lovely little cafe in the Station Masters house. The gardens are always a picture during the Carnival of Flowers held in September every year, but also well-kept and pretty at other times.

A bit of a surprise. Well kept gardens and grounds and a bit of history. Lucky enough to see a train pass through the station during our visit. Nice little side attraction.
