We didn't have many expectations for this release, because the reviews were mixed and the opinions of those who had already been there ditto.
It is difficult to reach the park from Kuala Lumpur (we opted to take the train to Kuan and then continue with the grab about fifty minutes).
Attention for the return because being an area totally off the tourist routes should agree directly with the driver making you wait (otherwise you risk not finding a ride back because Grab in the area there are none).
The activity in all lasts half an hour.
You arrive (from 19:30 onwards) and after making the ticket (about twenty euros scarce per boat that can carry a maximum of 4 people) and leave in the dark for the ride on the lake.
In absolute silence and total darkness it seems to be in a surreal dimension (apart from some misplaced vacationer speaking loudly), and at any moment immense groups of fireflies appear on the plants that look like Christmas lights.
Striking and relaxing.
Recommendation to bring a mosquito repellent (although the night we stayed we did not take a single bite).
In photos and videos the rendering of what you see does not pay for anything, it is an emotion to keep in the heart.

Shaan our guide was excellent. Tour was far more than we expected. Silver leaf monkeys and historical importance of Melawati hill a must see. Food excellent. An experience to remember for a lifetime. Worth $$$$ spent.

Start the tour from 8.00 pm and above. If it is too early, it is very hard to find Firefly. Don't try eagle feeding, it is not eagle feeding, for me, it is bird watching.

What a splendid feast experience. There is all of it. I was worried might put up body weight. The durians were "finger looking good". Will sure recommend to friends and family.

The boats were well maintained and the trip to see the fireflies was wonderful. It reminded me of my childhood when we would play outside among the fireflies. it was magical

First we went to watch the feeding of the eagles in a speed boat. The brown eagles were spectacular when they dive down to the water to feed on the chicken skin thrown. When night falls, we went to watch the fireflies. We must be very quiet not to distract the fireflies otherwise it would not glow. Really a glittering sight from the trees and shrubs. The last venue was further up the river where we put our nets to scoop the shining microorganism. In the water it was blue color and shiny but when you bring up the net you do not see any blue shine. It was lovely to experience such a sight.

We joined the D Tours firefly river cruise at sunset. The tour office location was right next doors to some seafood restaurants. Ticket costs RM 20.00 for Malaysians and RM 50.00 for Non-Malaysians

The tour departed on time with relatively new life jackets provided to all passengers. Nothing provide in terms of safety briefing or on board commentary. Boat was also relatively new and clean.

It was a very interesting experience and lots of fireflies were sighted especially after the sun has fully set.

However our experience was marred by the Mainland Chinese tourists who attempted to take flash photos despite being reminded several times of the prohibition of flash photography to protect the fragile environment.

Prominent warnings in Chinese to be placed on board and printed on tickets would be must appreciated.
