We are two girls from Denmark who have been on the 3 days 2 nights trip with Yanto and his extremely kind team. A trip with amazing experiences and the most beautiful nature. The boat we stayed on was super nice and the food was impeccable. Yanto is a super nice and helpful person and he is good at shaping the trip as you want it. He gives both space for alone time but is also super open and ready for fun. The boattrip is a completely unforgettable experience that we can only recommend!

Wow!! What an incredible experience. My husband and I went on a 5 day 4 night boat trip. Right from the beginning Yanto was great at communicating. As soon as we arrived the crew was very friendly and helpful. Ricardo was the best guide the whole trip he had a lot of information and experience to share along the tour and I think we made a new friend!! We couldn’t recommend this trip more. From mountain top treks to beautiful coral reefs this is a once in a lifetime experience our favorite parts were seeing a massive dolphin pod on the way to Komodo Island, the flying foxes leaving the mangrove trees, and of course turtle bay, just to name a few of the wonderful experiences you can have if you are as lucky as us! The private chef on the boat was amazing! Expect traditional Indonesian food and smiles all day! Thank you again to the amazing crew for lifelong memories.

We went on a private boat trip in early March. Perfect season to avoid the crowds. However the water can be cloudy at this time of the year.

Snorkeling, chilling and swimming at beautiful beaches, enjoying the view from the bow tip or hanging around the deck and interesting conversations with the professional and courteous tour guide Yanto, made the time fly by.

The three delicious meals a day ensured that we were perfectly catered for. Vegetarian options were also provided and the pisang goreng (fried bananas) in the afternoon were the perfect refreshment after snorkeling.

A daily walk on one of the many islands was always included: For a sunrise or to see the Komodo dragons in the national park.

However, if you are looking for longer and real hikes, this might not be the right trip for you.

Communication before and during the trip was engaging and easy. Yanto, as well as the entire crew, were absolutely friendly and pleasant. We felt more than comfortable at all times.

In addition to this wonderful boat trip, we recommend that you also allow yourself time to discover Flores itself. If you do not have the time to go all the way to the east of Flores, there is plenty to explore close to Labuan Bajo. A day or even half day trip to Tado to see the spider web rice fields and the Nobo Perlamping waterfall rounded off this experience.

Oh where do we even start with this. We dumped our idyllic plan in Gili islands for a somewhat offbeat liveaboard in Komodo islands. But we had a lot of reservations about finding the right boat with the right crew, cos there were a plethora of reviews talking about how a bad boat or crew could ruin the entire experience.

I stumbled across Yanto who was an absolute delight to work with while planning the entire thing. From helping us plan to helping us around Labuan Bajo to find the right ATM machines to lending us money to tip the crew

He helped us find a brilliant boat for our budget for a private tour and we couldn't have asked for more. The boat was great, the crew even better. We didn't even have to ask once most of the time because that was how prompt they were in ensuring our comfort & safety. From having the meals ready on time to help us find turtles & Manta rays, the entire crew treated us like family.

He asked us to trust Fan (our guide on the voyage) and the captain with regards to the itinerary, and we ended up doing the usual trip in the reverse order and boy what a reverse uno card it was.

From the gorgeous reefs of Sebayur to swimming with the turtles at Siaba happiness knew no bounds. but even in our wildest of dreams we hadn't expected what was coming our way. Sailing to the manta point, we were hoping we could see at least one manta ray but to swim with 15 manta rays for 30 minutes was just unbelievable.
Following this we spent some time at the Taka Makassar sand bank... you can see why the sand gets pink in this part of the world, primarily because of the red corals breaking up and washing up ashore.. As if our hearts weren't full enough by then, we sailed to padar islands while the sun was still setting,.. although we couldnt hike up as it had gotten late, but just the experience of watching the sunset by the padar island was just incredible..

The next morning though, it felt like I found myself in one of those wall papers you see on the laptops.. with the sun behind you, the padar islands lights up beautifully with the sunrise... Its a fairly easy hike up to the top and absolutely worth it... Komodo National park was next on the list and it was incredible how these reptiles are confined to just the few islands in the vicinity and how close they live to human habitation. We snorkelled a bit more in Pink Beach followed by a climb up the strawberry rock and snorkelled a bit more..

the 3rd day was just about relaxing.. a hike up the keylor island followed by snorkelling in Manjarite. The last bit was a downer as you'll see a lot of dead corals, so just ensure that you make the best of your snorkelling opportunities before.

All in all, I cannot thank Yanto & the crew enough for making this such a fulfilling experience for us. We can in anxious about spending 3 days in a boat, we left wanting to spend another 3.

The trip went perfect! Yanto made sure everything was arranged during the trip and the best spots were visited. The boat was really cool as well as the cabins - ARUMI boat. The crew was really nice and helpful.

Honest feedback on the 2D1N shared tour: gorgeous places, awful boat.

1. We had no expectations but the boat was well below the minimum level of decency. It was totally dirty and dilapidated. There were small insects on the beds. We were ready to sleep in the shared cabin with 3 ladies when A RAT CAME OUT. The guide was sleeping right at our backs and he didn’t care at all. we’ve been forced to sleep on the floor of the deck with just a blanket as mattress because there was no available pouf or bed. The morning after we found out the rat had damaged 2 backpacks and opened the package of some snacks.
2. The boat was the slowest of the archipelago, which has impacted a lot the organization of the tour.
3. The guide didn’t act as a guide, he didn’t explain anything, he barely spoke to each of us.
On the other hand the food that has been served was good and the places stunning.

100% of guests of our boat where complaining about something that was not matching with their initial offer, this “fraud” mood should end! I’m sure it’s not the tour operator’s full responsibility but as main point of the contact with the customer, Indonesian boat trip should make sure about the conditions of the final offer and the boat used.

We are extremely dissapointed with this trip (3D/2N in Komodo) and how Yanto managed it.

We were promised a luxury boat, “Arumi”, and paid for it, before discovering at the pick up in the morning that we got moved to another one, “Santorini”.

Santorini was old and not well maintained and showed continuous problems.

The engine stopped working several times, with the first time as soon as we left the harbour.

Cabins were all very old:
- toilet was terrible: smell coming from the pipes, cockroaches moving around, broken toilet bowl
- 80% of the time there was no running water in the rooms
- our door couldn’t close properly

All passengers shared the same terrible experience and many others were promised another boat like us.

Yanto was also very unreliable and unprofessional with the planning:
- the tour was said to finish in late afternoon of the third day (and we booked an hotel for the night and the flight the following day), yet by 11.00 am we were already at the port. If we knew we would have planned our holiday differently
- the pick up was confirmed at 8.30 am the first day , before receiving a call from Yanto at 8.15 saying that it would have been at 11.00am

When we shared these issues with Yanto, he refused to give any compensation, rather blaming the tour operator.

Makes me feel that this is a scam to tourists…. So AVOID !!

Dear Gregorio. Thank you for your review and sorry for your unpleasant feeling about the tour. I would like to clarify some cases. Firstly, I am a tour operator and specialized on a private tour. After having your inquiry for a share tour, I was shopping around and found one tour operator who organized this share tour for 3 days 2 nights. His name is Paris. I observed his offer by asking him the type of boat provided for the period you requested then he have me this Arumi boat. At the same time, I got back to you and let you know about this boat they provided with all the description, type of room and prices in difference and you picked one. After you made your final confirmation, they asked me to provide the deposit to block the cabin and put your name on the list that's why I asked from you. You did it as I immediately forwarded to him. Until then, there was no problem and no information from them about the change if the boat. Secondly, on the day they informed me the pick up time at 8 instead of 11am, I responsible for the mistaken by giving you 100K idr so you can relax at your hotel while waiting for the pick up, which is you appreciate it at that time. When time came to pick you up, I was there with you waiting for this boat provider to pick up. Still, I haven't known yet about this change until the driver came and informed it in front of you about the boat changes. Thirdly, I wouldnt recommend you your boat if it was not Arumi as the first boat they provide because I don't know the other boat they changed for you. I would rather just gave your money back at that time but you asked me to go with you observe the boat. As soon as we arrived on the boat, you made your decision to go for the tour and asking the compensation. I have agreed to make a 500k of the compensation for you you were asking 1 million idr. That was the moment I couldn't accept it if I haven't spoken to Patris who changed the boat and as the boat provider. After getting confirmation from him, I gave you a message after your tour so I could meet you to give your compensation but you didn't respond until Patris called me and said you have received one million idr from him as the compensation. I know that you don't know Patris as you requested the tour to me but I could not take the responsibility if they made this changes without a notice to me. I WOULD HAVE NOT SOLD THIS TOUR TO YOU IF THEY HAD TOLD ME ABOUT THE REAL BOAT. Thank you for your reviews and gave all this mistakes to me. Yanto.

We totally recommend this experience! Yanto is such a kind cheerful person, he took really good care of us. The rest of the crew was very sweet and they all made us feel save. The food was delicious (loved the juices!) and the places they took us left us speechless (padar best of the best!) If you want to live the real flores experience on a boat, this is the one!
