Wonderful Tour

An excellent tour of the winery and the processses involved in making wine. The group enjoyed a great lunch whilst tasting fabulous wines.

We visited Eric Louis Caves on our last day in Sancerre. Our guide Pierre was extremely knowledgeable, spoke amazing English and had a great sense of humour. The visit was very good value at around 8 euros per person for an hour tour followed by a tasting of around 6-8 wine and goat cheese. I would definitely recommend that you... More

The moment we walked in the guy behind the counter made us feel welcome and his enthusiasm and knowledge were fab! He guided us through a few stunning white wines and then some gorgeous reds. All of which were reasonably priced. Go and treat yourself to a bottle or three!

If you are in the area definitely visit Eric! We popped in unscheduled to taste and left with a car boot full of wine! Eric was great and really helpful!

Our host was Pierre who was very informative but with the right mix of entertaining and not too overwhelming. His English was practically perfect. We left very happy after tasting 8 wines and with enough knowledge to tell our friends! Would recommend!

We arrived quite late- just before the Celliers was about to close , but was welcomed warmly by a lovely Lady (Luce) who talked us through all the wines and allowed us to sample what we wanted. She was informative, interesting and above all a very good saleslady. At no time did we feel hurried or pressured as was well... More

"If you go down to the woods today prepare for a big surprise", Winnie the Pooh once said and very much like the treasured teddy bear our visit to Eric Louis must be put into the very same catorgery. My wife and I after a "middle aged" gruelling ride from St Satur via Pouilly to Thauvenay were welcomed with a... More
