Pope is an amazing beach! Such a long strand of clear sandy beach and shallow water for swimming and floating. Great for children. Easy parking. Vendors are on site with cold drinks and snacks. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Bathroom are well maintained.

Best Beach in Lake Tahoe just off hwy 89 before camp Richardson. Go early otherwise you will not get in or have to wait in a long lines of cars. 8.00 entrance fee but worth it for upkeep of this beautiful area. Staff are wonderful...More

They charge for parking $8 but that's for all day and allows you to travel around all the beaches in the area the water quality is excellent but it is too shady for sun worshippers like us

We were there during the eclipse. It wasn't that crowded. The water was super clean and the little waves were so nice. My husband doesn't normally go in the water, but he went in twice.

Great quiet beach. Paddle board & kayak rentals. Clean restrooms. Great sand and fantastic views of mountains. Nice graduated sand beach out into the water. Clean, clean, clean. Spent over 3 hours here soaking up the sun, reading, swimming and people watching. I'll come here...More

this beach is out of the way but beautiful spot too. not as many people as camp Richardson or Bayou.

I'm not sure we always pay with cash but one thing that is great is your parking receipt will get you in to Baldwin Beach, Nevada state Beach and a couple others, you can come in and out without having to pay again. I hope... More

Have not been in the area on the 4th, but I assume any beach location would have a spectacular view....they are all very open with no obstructions....if you go, you'll have the best time ever !!!!
