We had a fantastic time hiking to the waterfall. The trail had a good elevation gain, but if you take breaks, it wasn’t too hard. The views are incredible and the park is so easy to get to from the casino area.

In a little less than a mile, you will have a great view of the Lake. Of course the higher you go, the better it gets. It is easy to get to the trailhead and close to the downtown core. We were lucky to be...More

There seems to be some confusion in these reviews about the location of the entrance to the park. It is not in back of Harrah's. It is closer to being in back of Heavenly Village on the California side. Also, some people minimize the hike....More

Walk the trail to the falls. It is 1.1 miles each way. The views are spectacular. Don't forget to notice the wildlife.

Right behind Heavenly is Van Sickle. We did the trail to the falls and back down. Nice hike with great views. The driveway to the parking lot has the CA/NV border line (for photo ops).

We hiked the trails on a hot day. I decided to stop at the scenic overlook (.4 miles from the trailhead) and my wife continued another .7 miles to the waterfall. We both enjoyed our hikes but, due to the heat and some knee pain,...More

We hiked to the waterfall, mostly uphill-consider the starting elevation. Great views by the time you get to the waterfall. Actually the waterfall was nicer than we expected. Not real big, but still nice. I would suggest going early especially in the summer since you...More

I think so. It snowed while we were there but a deep snowfall might be tough.

Yes, you can also ride the BlueGo bus with your bike from Heavenly Village Center to the top of Kingsberry Grade. Take the Tahoe Rim Trail to the Van Sickle Trail (down hill) about 8 miles to the park and back to Heavenly... More
