Svenja as Norwegian says it’s like a Lofoten in a miniature. The scenic route is definitely worth to drive either by a car or by a Bike. Plan your trip to camp in Erstefjord. There is a magic sun set at midnight and just after...More
We drove Senja’s northest road which is called a scenery route (road 862 / 864 and then turned to road 86). So beautiful!!! I really recommend! Take time to ferry because it can be full. Also take drink and food with you because there are...More
...when travelling through Senja. One of the 18 most scenic routes of Norway and worthwhile multiple stops along the coast. Have a short stop on different locations such as Husoy, Ersfjordstranda, Tungeneset and Bergsbotn. Great places !

Don't know when you are planning to travel to Senja, but you take a boat from Tromsø to Finnsnes called Hurtigbåten. Then bus from Finnsnes to Gryllefjorden. You need to tell the bus driver that he must stop at Hamn. Just talk to the people in Hamn they will guide and help you with everything. You will have the chance to rent a car when you are in finnsnes, i recommend you do that because the bus doesn't go many times to Senja from Finnsnes. It is a 1 hour drive from Hamn to Finnsnes +÷, and 1 hour and 15 minutes with Hurtigbåten from Finnsnes to Tromsø.
