Worth a stop, it's free after all with decent parking space. You get to learn a bit about vulcano's, the Lanzarote vulcano's and the outbreaks. Won't take too much time but it's worth a visit.

We visited this centre at the end of our time in the National Park. It is a spacious modern building, with many hi-etc displays and a great deal of information about volcanoes in general and Lanzarote in particular. Some of it would be of greater...More

This is what is missing from Timanfaya. Lots of info about volcanoes and the Canary Island geology. There's even a room where you can experience an eruption!

A fascinating exhibition of information boards, models and visuals that explained everything you need to know about volcanoes. The quality and clarity of the exhibition would keep adult and child engaged. During out visit, the main 40 minute documentary could not be heard in English.

Unfortunately the actual volcano tour was closed due to the ongoing strike so we drove past it and on to this museum. Entry was free and it was a very worthwhile stop explaining in detail how the volcanos on Lanzarote came into being. Only slight...More

We didn't know what to expect but we were so glad we went. The staff were very welcoming and there is a small shop. The geology of volcanoes is explained and the history of volcanoes on Lanzarote is set out very clearly. The subject matter...More
