I never do knew what those miners went through until I visited this mine and went down into just a little taste of what of mine is white with a retired Miner those people suffered they were down on the job it was stinky it...More

Didn't expect to learn so much and be able to see and touch old fossils here. The kids had a a blast and were also able to take a old fossil home with them Both the caboose and train station are part of this museum...More

Coal mining during the 1800's was an unbelievably tough life. We went into the mines with a retired miner (who worked the mine during the 1900's). He was wonderfully informative, entertaining, and genuine. Don't miss this!

Excellent museum on mining and I would have given it five stars except for the visit down to the actual mine. Before I went, I knew the ceiling might be short in places, but the mine excursion is almost 30 minutes of trying to walk...More

They gave me a fossil!! This place is hard to find as it is at the back of a large parking lot obscured by a train caboose and old style train station. Both the caboose and train station are part of this museum. The building...More

Little gem of a place we were greeted at the door.Then the Staff member explained to us what the difference between the fossil were toured around building .Then took us to the lab where we got to see fools gold under microscope cool. Great place...More

Great Wee Museum and Fossil Centre. Really interesting and very helpful and informative staff. We had our one yr old and 11yr old with us on holidays and there was lots to keep everybody happy.
