We were staying quite close so it seemed worth a visit. It is more expensive than most NT properties but you see far fewer rooms (only about 5) so if your budget is at all limited give it a miss. Lovely grounds if you have the time and energy to go walking.

This is the first time we have been to Norfolk when this house has been open so we had to visit! We took the dogs for a delightful walk in the CP ( for once parking was not exhorbitant like the rest of Norfolk .. it was free! Tx ma'am!) , really pretty trails through the trees and other flora.... More

Short walk to the house from the main entrance takes about 5 minutes. If you have time, take the longer route to the left and enjoy the garden. We saw camelias, rhododendrons, 2 types of pieris, viburnum, irises and many many other plants. Can't walk that far? Get the golf buggy to take you. Look out for the sculptures on... More

Lovely house, with staff on hand in every room to tell you all about the building & royal family. Tons of history, lots to see, lovely grounds. Cafes a little pricey but good range. When we visited, there was also a farmers' market on and some American motors to look round.

My husband and I took a trip to Sandringham and my, what a lovely place! Although Her Majesty wasn't available for elevenses or afternoon tea, we did enjoy a stroll around the lakes and even took in the inside of the house and the whole place really is beautiful! Although it was quite busy, we managed to enjoy ourselves and... More

A bit disappointed because the place seemed to be geared up to sell you as much as it could the gardens are beautiful but our purpose was to see the house that our queen stays in but you only saw the ground floor no below stairs or bedrooms

Oh my lord what a lovely place.....I can't believe most people were hanging around the free places near the car parks......pay to see the house and museum, it's so pretty and amazing! We took a picnic inside and we found a secluded spot! So amazing.....I want to be queeny!!! The most scenic spot was alongside the lakes! Make sure you... More

A beautiful day out over a busy Easter weekend - family ticket £38 great value and lots to see. My children (8 and 6) enjoyed the start of the house tour and there is a great little quiz which we attempted but it was very busy and you needed to ask the guides for many of the answers. They soon... More

I visited on Easter Sunday. it was pleasant weather and arrived at mid morning and spend around four hours on the estate. its easy to find with easy parking close to the house . it's different to a NT house and one has to accept you are being aloud to visit a loved royal residence. As a consequence the house... More
