Don't expect lots to do here but there is a movie room, a small exhibition, lots of information on the fortress and it's inhabitants (and prisoners such as Richard the Lionheart) and a picnic area. The view, however, is absolutely breathtaking and well worth the...More

On my trip to retrace some childhood steps (and memories) we went to Rhineland-Palatinate where I spent several summer vacations 40 years prior. One of my oldest memories was me visiting Trifels castle with my parents. So for old times’ sake I revisited the place....More

Nice brisk walk to the castle. Even though it will not open till late February the scenery was breathtaking and the photos endless. A great day to spend with my husband and get out and enjoy sunshine

This castle is well-worth a stop to see the reconstruction and replicas. It's also great fun for kids with many corners and rooms to explore, while adults appreciate the views.
