The tour was nice but the guide was mumbling and hard to understand. The tour lasted 1 hour. We learned about all the houses that have sold and for how much. We did stop at Mt Victoria for 10 minutes, and at the old naval site for 5 minutes.

The brochure stated Devonport Explorer Tour 2 hours. Sounded great. However the bus tour is only one hour. When queried, the guide said that it depends on how you read the brochure as it also included the ferry trip. This was 10 min each way. One hour 20 min is somewhat less than two hours. While Devonport is a lovely... More

Steve the tour guide for the bus tour in Devonport was excellent-very knowledgeable, friendly with a great sense of humour. He showed us the highlights of Devonport, its history, beautiful homes and scenery. A great 1 hour tour.

We took the ferry to Devonport and added in this tour. Is was an excellent choice. Picks you up at the ferry terminal and can drop you back there or in the main street - not far from the terminal. Graham the tour guide has a great style and voice that easily shares a lot of history of the area.

Devonport is a former tidal island, now a peninsula. Its a dormant volcano - 360 degree views of the harbour and Auckland from the top. The architecture on the 'island' and the view is stunning! There is a very cute historic township, lots of cafes. Our guide, Gary I think his name was, was a local and enthralled us all... More

Never used to like tours, but I'm a believer now. Another great tour by someone who has been here their entire life. A great way to see the islands without bus jumping. Well worth the price. Would do t again!

This bus tour round Devonport was really informative and showed us parts we might never have found ourselves. Our guide told us the history of the area and we visited the old volcano sites where we had great views. After the tour we stayed in Devonport for lunch and walked round some interesting shops before sitting at the harbour watching... More

Just decided whilst down at the wharf to take a boat over to Devonport and the explorer bus at the other side. The boat only takes about 10 - 15 mins but you get some great photos of Auckland city from the boat. Once over at Devonport we met our tour guide Steve, who was fantastic, and as there was... More
