Never seen such unpersonable staff. Nobody smiled at you, you ask a question and it's a rude reply.

Nobody was helpful

Seriously the goat hill gang would have better customer service. Not a chance I'd step foot in there again.

They say you can feed the bunnies and the ducks but they don't tell you that they don't provide the food. Petting the goats and horse was fun. You just walk around for an hour and that's about it. I felt bad for the bunnies and the peacocks. The bunnies were being harassed and the peacocks were stuck in such a small cage. Not worth it IMO

Found this charming wee petting farm quite by accident. As we were lounging on a sunny day by the Seymour River, we heard a peacock (!) honking and had to investigate. This farm is small but had enough animals to scritch and watch. Truly an unexpected delight.

Very disappointing trip with the family. Arrived just after 3pm on a sunny Friday afternoon, however staff were already busy putting animals away. Charged full price to find empty paddocks and only 2 horses outside. Wanted to go in and see the goats, but staff had padlocked them in. When speaking with front staff, all that was offered was a free ticket to return at a later date. She also advised we could still go in and see the goats so we asked the farmer at approx 3:35pm who was extremely reluctant, disinterested and her response was “well it’s their dinner time so make it quick”.
My family have previously visited this farm at the exact same time with different staff on shift - and it was a totally different and pleasant experience. Staff were engaging, interactive and animals and birds were free roaming. This last visit was shocking and appalling, poor animals all locked up and staff more interested in closing up and going to enjoy the sun. Terrible experience.

Very disappointed, was supposed to close at 4pm but virtually all animals put away and padlocked up so couldn't even go in with them at 15:35, staff seemed uninterested and in a hurry to close, almost grumpy when requested to go in with goats, not welcoming and friendly like most places we've visited, charged full price even though place was virtually closed. In my opinion if you're open till 4pm the animals should be available to visitors up until this time. The goodwill gesture of free entry next time is redundant as we fly home tomorrow morning. Also as others have mentioned the cages look small for the amount of animals in one cage.

Maplewood Farm is okay, but the fact that they shove three peacocks into a small cage is awful. When I went into the bunny cage, the white bunny seemed so scared, and children were poking it continuously, and the animal looked so irritated and frightened. Not only that, but they shoved a bunch of birds and chickens into the small cages as well. There was barely any room for them to move around! It is okay for a family outing for the cows and goats, but beware that when you pay to get in, you also support the caging of animals that are NOT meant to be caged (peacocks) and a bunch of animals being harrassed and over rowing In their cages. While I was there, I could not enjoy it as all I thought about was how scared the animals were and how they must have been suffocating in the small space they were given, either small cages or crowding and most of the time, it was both.

We decided to take our 14 month old and he had a great time. We thought it was bigger but it did not disappoint. Waa $15 for 2 adults and child was free. The goats were the best part, can get right up to them. Covid rules state 1 hour, which is plenty of time. Ducks, chickens roaming around, few horses, pigs and cows. Don't expect too much but a fun day.

A large area filled with plenty of animals. If you time it right you can watch them milk a cow and sometimes they ask for participants. My kids loved it.

We take our children her often. Lots of animals to pet, the goats and rabbits are their favorites. It's great having a farm so close to downtown.
