From Lonsdale terminal we took the so-called "Sea Bus" to cross over North Vancouver and visit this place. The ride lasted for just a few minutes, but it was very relaxing and well organized. Nirth Vancouver is a lovely place to go to, with lots of eateries and pubs (among other things). The view of the city is also beautiful. But what I liked the most was exploring the Quay Market and Food Hall itself, with all its food kiosks and shops. There's a good selection of international cuisine to choose from. We opted for some Mexican food, which was great.

We had a sandwich at the Basilico stand. Amazing taste! Try the tiroler smoked sandwich! Lovely people with passion for their product!

More than just a shopping mall, the "Quay" permits the traveler the chance for a coffee (or what-have-you) break before short walks - east to "The Shipyards", west to "Waterfront Park" with its great views of the inlet, Stanley Park, and the Vancouver skyline. Or, just stroll the building itself; stroll around out of the rain and enjoy the sights and aromas. I go about once a year, and have yet to get tired of it.

This was a fantastic place to explore. We stopped here on our way back from Capilano as the market is very close to the Seabus terminal. There are many food vendors to check out. It reminded us a bit of the Grand Central Market in LA. We ate our dinner on the large patio with a great view of downtown Vancouver.

Great location and views of downtown, active waterway and the mountains in North Van. Lonsdale Quay is part of the Shipyards District which has food, shopping and e-bike rentals to explore further. Coastal Cogs E-Bikes is a must do to explore the area. The seabus is a great way to see the working harbour with freighters, sea plances and the occasional seal!

Tourists should know that NOT taking a Seabus ride across the inlet means missing some great views of the downtown Vancouver skyline and Stanley Park. So, once you arrive on the North Shore, enjoy the many shops and services this area has to offer before returning to Vancouver, or continuing your quest through Lower Lonsdale.

COVID Safe, however the foot traffic & visitors have been very limited, which affects the businesses. Still recommend going to enjoy the shops and the view of the inner harbour.

GREAT PATIOS, GREAT AMBIANCE
TERRIBLE PARKING POLICE WITH EASYPARK below ground.

TOURISTS BEWARE- only minutes after parking expiry EASYPARK representatives are writing $70 tickets to gouge patrons. Despite half empty lots they are still taking advantage of the remaining tourists. Save your patience, park on the street.

The quay and market is right at the Seabus terminal, so may as well go in to take a look. It’s similar to Granville Island Market but much smaller in scale and not much local produce etc. Went there on Saturday which was the day of farmers’ market but again there were only a few stalls...

The thing that is worth seeing is the view of Vancouver Downtown. Scroll along the sea wall and drop into the market to buy coffee if you like.
