This is a great park, that is free. Don't really need hiking shoes, at least for the main trails that we went on. Nice suspension bridge as well.

This wonderful park is located in North Vancouver, across from downtown. A friend who lives nearby was kind enough to take me here. There's a suspension bridge, great waterfall and lovely walks on wood paths. I found the park enchanting. Recommended.

It took us about an hour to get here from downtown Vancouver but was totally worth it. The park is beautiful and the suspension bridge is an experience! Best of all, it's totally FREE. Get there early to avoid the crowds.

The area is breathtaking. The views from the suspension bridge are fabulous. Easy to explore most of the trails in the back, and the Ecology Center is very informative.

Great area to check out a suspension bridge for free! The trails are well maintained, clearly marked and easy to traverse. Little cafe has good food and prices.

What is the best think to wear for a hike end of June? Thinking mosquitos...shorts or pants? Hiking shoes or regular cross trainers?

Mosquitos are seldom a problem in Vancouver as there is cold running water and/or salt water, unless you are hiking in a solid bush and the trails in Lynn Canyon are well cleared.

I have been across a few times with my grandkids when they were this age or younger. Nothing to worry about though you would want to stay close to them when crossing.
