- WildwoodatheartSanta Rosa, California914 contributionsGreat Place to go for a hike!We didn't want to spend the massive amount of money to go to Capilano, so we decided to check this park out. There is no cost to park or get in. We walked across the suspension bridge, which was beautiful. Then we did a loop trail hike (with LOTS of stairs.) It was a lovely hike, and dog friendly. We met a few folks hiking, but it wasn't crowded. I highly recommend!Visited February 2023Written April 12, 2023
- Helen2 contributionsA fabulous free day outWe visited after seeing how expensive Capilano suspension bridge was. We had a fabulous day out. The bridge was a lot shorter (I visited Capliano 22 years ago) but the kids loved it and you saw a couple of lovely waterfalls. We walked to the 30 foot pool and the kids had a swim. The water was really cold though. Bring some water shoes as it’s very stoney. It was very busy and lots of people jumping off high rocks despite the warnings. We walked the trails and round the lake, lots of steps and elevations. A good few hours in the fresh air.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten August 17, 2023
- Joseph20131008Mississauga, Canada515 contributionsExcellent ChoiceFirst time to visit the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. We love it! We have been to the Capilano Suspension Bridge a few ago. Now we are wondering why we have to pay $$$$$ to go to the CSB. The LCSB also has trails for people to hike. It is linked to Baden Powell. We also went to see the Twin Falls. Pay parking but no admission fees!!Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten September 6, 2023
- Fiona B4 contributionsPeaceful findThis gem of a park had a number of hiking trails of various lengths and difficulties. Due to time we did the shortest one but plenty of steps to climb and views plus the suspension bridge. As we arrived early evening, the visitor centre was closed so can't comment.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten September 11, 2023
- Sue SKingston, Canada371 contributionsA free gem in North Vancouver! The Lynn Canyon bridge is not as large or touristy as Capilano Bridge but given the fact that it's free, it's a well worth a visit. The trails are well maintained and there is a crystal clear swimming area easily accessible even for children. Very clean and modern facilities are also available. Hint- if you don't find parking at the top parking lot, then drive to the lower lot.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten September 15, 2023
- LMroadtripperHouston, Texas23 contributionsFree alternative to Capilano Suspension Bridges.FREE, as opposed to the highly-developed Capilano Bridge park area. We visited both. Totally different vibe. Lynn Canyon was much less traveled and thus much quieter. We enjoyed our hike here.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten September 25, 2023

Small but free. Packed with tourists on a nice day so it”s impossible to enjoy. Can”t get a photo without strangers in it. Should require a ticket.

This suspension bridge is free to use. It had many walking tracks around it and there are many sign posts with walk times to help you get around. It is very easy to get to using the bus service which is cheap. $11 a day for a multi trip bus pass which includes the sea bus across the bay.

Easy and very pleasant hike. Good swimming hole in cold water. After the bridge go left for the swimming hole; that is very easy to get to. If you go right, you'll go to another bridge and fall. That path is a bit more difficult given the elevation change.

This is a good alternative if you don't want to pay for the charges for visiting Capilano Suspension Bridge. The bridge can be quite busy, but do try out the trails further from the bridge and enjoy the park.

The bridge and cliff walk is a pleasant experience, but the park is crowded and overpriced. Only very interesting for people who don't visit natural woods and mountains very often. Felt like a tourist trap.

Are there any trails that would be appropriate for someone with limited mobility?

If you go to the trail around rice lake- it’s a different parking lot- the trails through there are very flat and wide. I saw a few wheel chairs going around parts of rice lake.

Is there shorter hiking to bring toddlers? I saw some people saying 2 min walk, and others saying 15 min walk.
Thank you!

You’ve probably been and gone by now. But you can access the bridge from two sides. One walk is about 15 minutes and the other is a couple minutes. As noted the bridge is very wobbly and you need both hands to hold on. The longer walk would be tough on a toddler because of the stairs going done to the water.

What hotels or B & B's are close to this attraction?

Crystal's View Bed & Breakfast would be the closest accommodation to that location that is also cost effective and more central to other hot spots. If you'd like more of a budget, you can check out airbnb for home stays.
If you don't mind the higher prices, I'd take the recommendation of staying downtown and transit to the location, so you can stay more central to downtown (if that's your thing). If you prefer nature and wilderness over urban core city, then you're better to stay on the north shore.
Message me if you'd like other suggestions.
