We rented two single kayaks for 2 hours for a leisurely paddle. Staff were friendly and helpful, the location is great (the rental office is near the parking area and steps from the beach), and our kayaks were ready and waiting for us on the beach at the start of our rental time. We will definitely be back to rent again!

Excellent customer service all around, particularly from Jeffrey. Everything from checking us in, fitting us in the kayaks, recommending routes, sending us on our way, and welcoming us back had us enjoying every moment. Highly, highly recommend for the complete experience. We will certainly be back.

Had so much fun kayaking at Belcarra! Staff was super friendly and got us out quickly. Only downside is that the double kayak we rented was very small and uncomfortable. Just not made for people above 5’6”. Otherwise it was a great experience. Would recommend renting a single kayak if you’re wanting an adventure or thinking of buying one.

We spent our Canada Day afternoon rescueing 2 young men who capsized their double kayak on Indian Arm when we were on our way to get gas in Reed Point. We picked them up after they had been struggling in the water trying to get back into the boat which was full of water. We got them in our boat and called that kayak center to say we had 2 guys onboard and did they have a boat to come pick up them and the kayak. I was told to wait a minute and was passed onto 3 people before anyone could tell me if there was a boat to come rescue the boys and the kayak. The answer was no so I just hung up so I could help gather the kayak and the yard sale of all the boys gear that was in the water. We tried pumping out the boat with the one pump provided which was useless as the boat was so full of water and just kept getting swamped with all the boat wake. We slowly towed the boat back to Belcarra and were greeted by 2 young people in a kayak with no lifejackets who were out looking for us. Another emergency waiting to happen! We gave the manager our number and told him to call us we were so pissed off with the lack of help. He called us and he got an earful and accused us of being unhelpful and were we drinking!!!!! We asked to speak to his manager and he said you can talk to the Chief. Well I am certain that the Chief would be a lot more helpful and proffessional and courteous than this guy!!! Dont count on being rescued by these guys with this manager. He said we have access to a boat in case of emergency. Well I hate to see what his idea of an emergency is.

We arrived amid a flurry of parking lot challenges with a group of 13. The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful, and they got us fitted into life- jackets and set up in our kayaks. WE were running about 30 mins behind on a busy Sunday and they kindly adjusted our booking so we could enjoy our full 3 hours. Great paddle to Jug island where kids explored and swam. Easy return of equipment as well. Will use them again.

The staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable. Was a very smooth, easy process and they were hustling to keep everyone on time. Will definitely return! They were happy to chat about where we could go and offer helpful information as well.

The employees working on sept 5 were amazing. They went above and beyond and were so kind when we ran into a hiccup. They were accommodating and understanding so we really appreciated it. Beautiful area to kayak and have a picnic afterwards. Concession was closed though. Great price and easy to reserve online.

Great service. I prefer personally the Belcarra location since you have access to a much variety of islands (e.g. Jug & Racoon island). I have tried both locations (North Van & Belcarra)
Make sure you book in the morning is much easier

Easy parking, great and helpful staff, interesting area. There are a number of directions one can choose to go, Small islands or beaches to stop and rest at, and many friendly people to just say "Hello" to in passing. Harbor Seals came to say hello and show off a bit...

We rented a few double and single kayaks for an overnight trip up the Indian Arm. We booked ahead of time over the phone, and our kayaks were ready for us when we arrived. Excellent value for the price paid and the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Their patience was particularly appreciated since our group took longer than expected to load our kayaks and get on the water. We also very much appreciated how our rentals included overnight parking passes, since weekend parking at Belcarra was a gong show. The parking passes allowed us to park about a 15-20min walk up the road in an overflow parking area and we had no issues with being ticketed or towed.
