Great little escape
Aug. 2021 • Couples
This is a lovely park tucked into the urban lands a cape of North Van. We went for a hike along the trails and loved it. There is a dog friendly part of the park that was wonderful. The park is rain forest type environment and the walking trails are well maintained. It is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I came here in 2005 and my husband took me up there for a walk. Beautiful stroll!

I loved this walk, and I haven't gone in the past few years, because I heard there was a bear spotted. Poor excuse, as bears can be everywhere these days, but I'm terrified of them. I would go with my camera and take so many beautiful pictures. If not a wimp like me...you will enjoy the walk. Don't miss it!!!

Fantastic Hike

Start at the Rec centre on Queens. Go up or down the trail. I prefer up along Del Rio St. It is wilderness in the city.

We hike this trail at least once a month. Allow an hour for an easy hike up and back.

Great dog friendly walk

What an amazing park to have in your neighbourhood. We have walked this twice while visiting Vancouver and have loved it. A great way to see ‘urban nature’ on an easy walk.

A nice trot in North Van

If you want to do this as a downhill walk (or run), it's easily accessible by bus to Montroyal, and you can run on an easy gradient and good surface down to Marine Drive. Rugged souls can start the path further up, accessible from the Baden Powell Trail to the east of Grouse. Popular with dog walkers

Calm, urban refuge

I love hiking this trail. It's absolutely urban, but separate enough that it meets the need for nature. The paths run alongside the creek, and those walking their dogs always clean up...

Trail along the creek nice views
Jun. 2016 • Family
This place is a bit hard to get parking to go to so if you can park a bit away and walk to the beg. or start a different direction. It is very pretty and a kids park at the opening and dog friendly, easy trails can take strollers and other if needed wide enough for most of the trails and where it narrows is up hill more so can always turn around most of the trail is easy to moderate there is a view harder and roots can grow up off the trails so in the narrow areas be aware to always keep an eye down where you step. Also by the creek the rocks and can slippery and not really good to try and navigate can fall and or other so stay on the trail.

Live close by so our regular weekend spot with our Lab. Lovely place for her to meet up with her mates and have a swim in one of the pools, and for us to get off our bums
