We stopped by this place on our way back from Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge Park not so much to see the water reservoir and dam that supplies Vancouver with much needed water, but to catch a glimpse of the red sunset reflected on its waters, with the twin peaks (called the "Lions") from a distance. The view was simply magical! The place is also a good picnic spot. Highly recommended!

Easy parking. Beautiful trail. Be sure to visit the Salmon hatchery. Learned that 95% of salmon were gone with the dam if it wasnt for the hatchery.

Nice views and lots of places to just hang out on the grass or picnic. There are trails but I did not do these so no comments on those. Parking lot was pretty busy and the spaces are very small.

Great place with a distinctive scenery to the Cleveland Dam located above the Capilano River Regional Park. The dam provides water to Metro Vancouver. Amazing view!

This is a very beautiful place next to grouse mountain. Lake by the mountains is very beautiful and its a nice place for a good walk or picnic as well. Dam is small but pretty.

Walking towards the dam, you can enjoy the beautiful and peaceful scenery of the reservoir embracing by snow mountains. When you walk through the dam, you can see the waterfall from the dam running to the pond, so spectacular !

And with the bright sunshine and clear blue sky, it seemed appropriate to visit this dam. I wasn't terribly excited about the suggestion, but I found it both beautiful and intriguing. The level was very low, however: a sign of the climate crisis?
Beatifully maintained gardens make this visit a delight.
