Small place, good doughnuts & hikes
Deep cove is smaller than we imagined with really only one street. We visited in February so it was rainy and fairly grey. The doughnut shop on the high street is amazing and I thoroughly recommend any of the chocolate, maple syrup or honey doughnuts. We had a little walk round the harbour which in the summer/spring I’m sure would be lovely to rent a kayak from the waterfront and go out but it was closed and too cold. We hiked up a trail instead which was about 45 minutes to the top and brought you out to a cool viewing rock which was a bit grey but again would be amazing on a clear day. The walk through the forest was cool with lots of trees and waterfalls and you didn’t get as wet as walking down the street. There is also a deep cove brewery a short drive away which does a good flight of beer!

A great destination with no parking
Deep Cove is very picturesque. It has a great little art gallery (free), a donut shop and some boutique shopping, a beach, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and nearby is the hiking trail to Quarry Rock. Its a bit trendy and the downside is a lack of parking, if you’re visiting from out of town consider taking public transit.

Good time. Good thing u don't have to spend too much time speaking/interacting with staff
we rented a boat for the day from the Deep Cove North Vancouver Marina. It was a beautiful day and the boat was clean and well stoked with life jackets. The young girl working there was very helpful and friendly. However the older gentlemen who we initially spoke to on the phone when we first reserved the boat and whom we later met when we completed the paperwork on the day of the rental, was rather gruff and without personable skills. Overall, if you can overlook this man's lack of costumer service and general ability to deal with the general public, it was a good time. Good thing we didn't have to spend too much time speaking/dealing with the older gentlemen who runs/manages? the place. Good activity for a socially distanced experience in time of Covid.

We spent a few hours at Deep Cove and were able to park by the water. The views were stunning and there was plenty of space to sit by the bay and watch the kayaks and paddle boards. We spent time in the small village (currently having a lot of work on the road) and bought excellent ice creams. This is such a beautiful area and well worth a visit (avoid busy times if possible).

Deep Cove is the eastern trail that spans the foothills of the mountains of North Vancouver.

It gives way to launching or moor boats or shelter for calm harbour vista that is the area’s signature view. Paddling Indian Arm offers a unique opportunity to view the mountains and native wildlife from sea level.

Located in Vancouver’s North Shore, Deep Cove is a good place for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, etc. outdoor enthusiasts will love its natural charms. There are cafes and shops along its Main Street to check out after an activity. Honey’s has wonderful home made breakfast and lunch fare. Their famed cake donuts come in cinnamon sugar and coconut cinnamon sugar. They are fluffy and completely addictive. The gelato shop a few steps away is excellent for a summer treat with its large selection of flavours. The beach is across from the shops and cafes. We had a nice time checking out Deep Cove in late June.

Truly beautiful place. We stayed here for four nights (five days). Saw seals and lots of birds. Magical views. Kayaking and paddle boarding available although we didn't have a go. Not sure you need more than a couple of days though, we spent a lot of the days on day trips.

Not many vegan options around here sadly.

Very pretty area but it gets very busy quickly, even in the end of September when we visited. Nice walks but please respect signage that says if a trail is closed. Many people were not following this the day we were there. Saw seals, star fish, and jellyfish while kayaking here.

This is a beautiful destinationi in North Vancouver for a day getaway. Shops, restaurants, hiking trails, parks, picnic areas, kayaking and more.

It had been many years since I visited and forgot how truly beautiful this area is.

There is a wonderful kids playground at the foot of Deep Cove Road, with a nice little beach area where the water is crystal clear.

Pack a lunch for a picnic or enjoy the water activities a great place to take friends from out of town too.

Beautiful scenery, hiking trails, and a cute town nearby. The village has lots of restaurants and cafes, and there are some great photo ops. Only thing is that I was unable to rent anything at the kayak/paddle-boarding shop because all the time slots were full, so be sure to book a couple of weeks in advance.

This is one of the most beautiful little towns I've ever seen! It's hard to believe it's real. If you're a kayaker or are interested in trying SUP, this is the place for you. Try Honey's Doughnuts for breakfast!

Spent a hot, sunny Saturday morning here and loved the tranquility. Tons of people kayaking and SUP'ing. A few short trails around the main beach made for some easy activity. Excellent spot for a picnic and people watching away from the noisy, dirty city. Simple bus ride to get there, too.
