Oh what an utterly amazing location a little off the main tourist market route , but near capilano bridge, north Vancouver . Worth taking the the time out to visit lynn falls if your in downtown Vancouver , little bit of trek on multiple transport methods starting at Chinatown stadium tubes, seabus and then bus upto bottom of the entrance to lynn falls . We did the twin falls, quite a quick steep hike but worth every step , good leg workout day for sure either exceptional waterfalls ! Do it again any time .

We visited Lynn Headwaters Regional Park for a family hike.
Our 4 and 7 year old son had fun hiking the trail.
A few nice spots to sit on rocks to view the water.
Trail has wooden sections and wooden stairs.
Not suitable for younger children and strollers.
Trail is muddy after raining.
Recommend for medium difficulty trail hike.

Bring the kids, go solo, as a group or a couple. We have visited the park at least 50 times and it is always a fantastic way to spend the day

Parking could be a problem in a sunny day but you could park down the road instead of going all the way up to the last parking space. Note that there are 2 loops there. Smaller one is about 5KM and the larger one is almost 12KM. Track is signed which is really needed in some sections. Lots of bridges to help you pass the muddy sections but yet there are chances of getting yourself stuck in mud!!

If you want a steep, shorter hike (1.5 hrs up) with a great view, climb Lynn Peak. A great bluff at the top overlooking the city.

This is an out of the way but lovely spot to experience the local mountains. There are several different hikes ranging from a short walk by the creek to a multi-hour challenging hike into the back country.

Although there is lots of parking, the lots do get quite full.

Picnic tables, a water fountain and outhouses make The starting point a good spot to spend a bit of time enjoying the views of the mountains and creek.

How magical to have a warmer sunny day in the middle of January. Hard not to put wings to my hiking boots. This morning I took off to have a wander around Rice Lake about a half hour hike from Lynn Headwaters and about a 10 minute hike from Seymour Demonstation forest gate. Once arrived at the lake the circumference is only about a half hour around start to finish either way.
The views are stunning all the way around and for photo bugs and anglers you can’t get better bait.
This time I wondered over peek a boo glimpses of Seymour mountain and the stunning reflections cast on a winters morning. Beautiful!

Love this place, so close to the city, yet once on the other side of the river it is so peaceful, only the roar of the creek and chirps from songbirds. Trails are easy to follow, yet add a bit of adventure feel when the going is over roots, rocks and other natural obstacles. The parking may at times look full, but spread out on the trail you can go for a while without seeing anyone.
