Just an Overnighter
Aug. 2020
We were two travel trailers just passing through and got 2 great campsites beside one another. We didn't explore just set up, stayed and left the next morning. But I must say that the staff were very pleasant and professional, the campsites clean and the train did not wake me up this time.

Beautiful park, on a beautiful lake
Jul. 2019
Park has wonderfully beach areas, los if camping on the waters edge. Great place for kids. If your a fishing enthusiast, Thunder Lake has wallet, white fish, and a few pike, and perch. There is lots of wildlife arou...and you can sit by the campfire listen to the haunting call of the loo

Nice Campsites close to the highway.
Jul. 2019
Just east of Dryden we found this quiet Provincial Campground. The sites were clean, quiet and private and the washrooms well maintained. Great Showers.

Convenient to the TransCanada Highway.
Aug. 2019 • Couples
We pulled in for the night without a reservation. We stayed on site 82. The site was large, but very, very uneven. The site is private and quiet. It is near a restroom, but not close to any potable water. It does not have electric hook up.
The staff in the office are very friendly and helpful.

GREAT TRAILS
Oct. 2018 • Couples
We often hike here and very much enjoy it. The trails are mostly a loop which winds through the park. They have some grades to give you a bit of a work out, however the bonus is the beautiful views of Thunder lake.

If you are a camper there are many sites to choose from.

Lovely Park
Sep. 2017 • Friends
Great place, very nice picnic shelter with electricity, tables and a huge BBQ.
Spots don't seem too tightly packed together.

Private, Large and Clean Sites!
Aug. 2017
We stayed 2 nights here, we love how private the sites were, they were big sites and quite clean! a bit pricey for 2 nights tenting ($75 unserviced) but they do maintain the park, which is better than some sites we stayed at. Bathrooms and showers were both very clean, showers were nice and free, hot, supplied with shelves, hooks and chairs. They also have very good accessible showers and bathrooms. They do have coin opersted laundry as well. Maps for campsite trails were quite short in distance, so if you are a runner, run around the campsite helps add the kms. Firewood $7.50
load is big enough for one nights burning. Bilingual park hosts and has a small store with t-shirts, mosquito repellants and treats.

Quiet, Clean Provincial Park
Jul. 2017 • Family
We stayed in Aaron Provincial Park July 2017. There are a couple small hikes in the park that are worth doing. We rented a canoe for only $15 and enjoyed paddling out to the small islands. Campsites were clean & well maintained.

Unfair Cancelation fee's
Jun. 2016 • Family
I did not get a chance to camp here, however we decided to drive right from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg without stopping instead of taking a break in Dryden. Even though I called 2 days early to cancel the reservation they still took 30% off my refund,

Booker's beware planning your trip a head of time with Ontario parks might make you loose some money if your plans change slightly.

Sometimes it doesn't pay to plan ahead and be prepared.
