A lot of stores closed, except for Dollarama and a few other shops, nothing exciting about this mall - looks very dated - need an injection new stores and to be updated.

Not sure when it will be closing, but the mall was sold to developers and eventually will be turned into condos. Sad to see so many closures in Cornwall

How disappointing to see this once great shopping center nearing what appears to be the end of its appeal. There are no large stores to anchor the mall, so there is less and less reason to visit other than to meet for a morning get together in the food court. Not sure how to keep it going but we plan to use it as long as we can. The retailers that remain deserve our support as they continue to do the best they can with the available clientele.

They have the most amazing fun staff.

More and more stores have arrived. Great place for fashion and your electronic needs.Cant give out secrets of anything else. Local News is how I find out what is coming to the mall. Check out the sales. Lots of parking.

I like having a good mall to choose from but this is a quiet place. I think many of the stores are good, frustrating that the escalator is out of service most of the time. I will be glad to see a grocery store or another big store come back to the mall, it will be a boost to business and encourage us to make the trip down there

When we moved to Cornwall from Ottawa in 1978, Cornwall Square was big new shiny community shopping centre. It had all the right stores to make it a complete shopping experience where many local citizens came to do their shopping to get their groceries, medications, and clothing and even have a bite to eat. It became an attraction as well, and the best place for shopping in Cornwall, by far.
Today, almost 40 years later, it is, was it is. If I were a potential tenant, which I am not, these would have been my observations:
I would have noticed that a substantial amount of money had been spent restoring the crumbling garage park. On entering the Square, I would have noticed that the logical store for a large grocery chain has been vacant for two years or more. I would have noticed that the down escalator appears to be in a permanent state of dysfunction. I would have noticed that the elevator located close to Sears was out of service on more than one occasion leaving customers with only the down escalator at Sears to reach the lower level. I would have noticed that a number of the stores were vacant and have a liquidation-centre flavour especially Sears. I would have noticed that some stores seem to be prospering and trying to offer a wide range of goods, but overall I would have concluded that it was a sad shopping experience. I may have rationalized the many people are making their purchases on the Internet and this type of shopping facility is perhaps a thing of the past.
This hypothetical tenant would have left after making the decision that Cornwall Square was not the right place for his store.

Took dad to the Opticians, Laurier and he seemed to like the Mall as it was just right for him to walk around unlike the Rideau and Bayshore Shopping Malls. He finds this just right for his age and comes here often to while away the time.

Our mall sucks big time nothing appealing like back in the 80s and 90s at least they had decent stores not like now if I want any brand name clothing or apparel I have to gonto Ottawa or elsewhere where they have stores to shop at not like in Cornhole they better do something or this.city is going to be a ghost town

Barely any stores. All the stores closed and nothing replaced them. There is no good place to go shopping in Cornwall. I have to drive an hour for decent stores.
