Less than 10 minutes out of town on Highway 3 to Vancouver, this unusual natural wonder is well worth the visit if you are in the Osoyoos area. It’s not well signed, and going north on Highway 3 out of town I may have missed it if I had not “driven” it the night before via Google Street View. Going... More

Not a developed location (yet). After visiting the nk'mip cultural centre we thought it would be nice to see this in person. Due to the sensitive environment access is not allowed, so we respected that.

It is only a 10 or 15 minute ride out of town so worth doing I think. This is not set up currently as a tourist attraction so there is no information provided on why this lake occurred or what it is about, but it is still a neat phenomena.

Spotted lake is definitely a cool phenomenon to check out that is super close to Osoyoos. A quick little trip that is well worth the little drive. However, you have to look at it from a distance, actually the side of a fairly busy highway. If you're driving in from Osoyoos you'll need to bust a U-turn on the highway... More

You won't believe your eyes. This lake is a must to see when visiting the area. Has 'Mystic' powers, although it did t give me any, yet!

This is a great attraction whose appeal will increase once the proposed visitor's facilities are put in place. Would have given it a "5" if the current facilities were better. Well worth the short trip out of Osoyoos for a view and a visit.

We read about Spotted Lake on TripAdvisor and got directions and an handout with an explaination of the significance of the formation from the the nice folks at the Tourist Center. The site is just a few kilometers northwest on highway 3. There is not much room to park and you view the lake from the highway as it is... More

About 9 km out of Osoyoos is Spotted Lake. We drove out on a fully paved road and found the lake right on the roadside. Certainly interesting to see. Not sure what causes this as there was nothing at the site to explain the spots. But there was room for several cars to pull off at the sign. I wouldn't... More

This stop along the highway is worth the view. No trespassing is allowed, though a few people had climbed thru the gate and walked to the water. Said to be a medicine lake for the Syilix Nation peoples.

Great place to stop to have a look , because it's pretty interesting but too bad you can't get closer . You can't even walk around it . So like I said it's just a stop to see it !
