Our kids, aged 5 and 8 love this place. They are super excited to learn about the Desert animals, and excited at the chance they might see one. We never leave disappointed.

The Desert Centre is a natural history site. The cost is low. The site is wonderful. There is a small but well displayed exhibit area. There are several guided tours (no extra cost) during the day. Our tour took about an hour and the docent...More

We went to the Desert Centre but is isn't very good. There was a 1.5 km self-guided walk but it was rather monotonous. Nothing much new to see after the first 10 minutes. A bit of a waste of time, really.

I recommend the guided tour. Yes, you can walk it on your own but the information garnered from those tour guides is well worth waiting for a scheduled guided tour. And besides, it's free. Lots of parking. Easy access. It is entirely on a boardwalk...More
