Sad to see what the fires did in valley. Nice lookout & well worth the stop!Visited September 2021Written September 6, 2021
- SkwikiBurnaby, Canada1,665 contributionsFabulous viewIncredible view of the lower Okanagan Valley and beyond. The parking area isn't very large or wide since there isn't much space for the highway itself. It's terrific for a quick stop and a couple of photos. You can see why the Osoyoos area is so popular to visit.Visited August 2022Written August 29, 2022
- Curious travellerVancouver, Canada187 contributionsGood lookoutNot a long drive up to see “the lay of the land”. We didn’t stay too long as it’s a good view but not spectacular. We had a much more impressive experience seeing the view from Mount Kobau but that’s a much longer and more challenging drive.Visited July 2020Travelled as a coupleWritten June 30, 2020

If you are looking for spectacular views you'll enjoy this. But we were towing cross country. I'll never tow on Hwy 3 again especially between Osoyoos and Cranbrook again. Hard on gas, hard on brakes and hard on the nerves.

A little scary to drive but worth the trouble. Definitely worth it to see the entire valley. A great place for the sub sets.

Not a large lookout, but right beside the highway going into the mountains. It was well worth the drive up - fantastic view, we went at sunset and it was super relaxing!

If your traveling on Hwy 3 in either direction, up or down the Anarchist, and you see the pullout for the viewpoint, you better pull off and enjoy the view. It's good, no matter what the weather.

This is by far the best way to look out over Osoyoos. The clear vantage point over the entire city is easily accessible by car!

Can you access it from the highway heading INTO town?
TPT_Traveller
Vancouver, B.C.711 contributions
Yes. There's a different pullout and viewing area when you're heading into town (travelling west). Just pull over when the sign tells you to. Don't miss it. You can't access the eastbound (uphill) pullout from the westbound (downhill) lane.

What's the location of the lookout viewpoint? I couldn't find it on google maps!
Take Highway 3 heading east out of Osoyoos at lake level. The highway switch backs its way up and the view point is on a pull out as you reach the top. the drive up is 15 minutes.
