What a wonderful show, the artist is using her media to honor farmers with beautiful, happy colors. What a lovely, positive experience.

A fabulous. Small community gallery. This month , February 2023, there is a quilt show by the Osoyoos Quilt Guild. So much beautiful work to see. Very knowledgeable ladies working in the gallery. Always a must to visit when in Osoyoos.

Given its modest size, this gallery has a great variety of exhibits from local artists, ranging from paintings to photography.

If you've looked through any of my reviews on TripAdvisor, you'll see that 99.9% of them are positive and upbeat. So, with that in mind, my wife, Brenda, and I went for a stroll in downtown Osoyoos on a recent Friday afternoon. We stopped at the Okanagan Art Gallery, Jojo's Cafe, Home Hardware, Chantilly Lace and wandered up the block to past the Town Hall to this small Osoyoos Art Gallery. We saw signage throughout our walk on storefront windows that indicated that there was an interesting photography display titled, "Trifocal" that we thought might be cool to check out. It has been years since we've stopping into this art gallery so we knew it was small and didn't expect to see much more than walls of framed photos. We entered and stood in the front office for a few moments while the lady manning the front desk spoke to two other people already there. After waiting a reasonable time and not being greeted or acknowledged, I urged my wife to enter the display room. We looked at the photos, I spent more time in the room and when I decided I had had enough I headed back through the front entrance. The lady at the desk was still chatting up the other two folks. She never said a word to us as we left. The gallery at the other end of the street greeted us the moment we entered and actually chatted us up as if we were locals. A real difference between the two galleries and I suspect both are operated by volunteers. We are not local residents but we are in the Oliver/Osoyoos area weekly. All the lady at the smaller Osoyoos Art Gallery with the blue canopy had to do was just say, "Hello!" If I could rate this with no stars, I would. Sorry. Tourists are coming, hopefully this facility will put on their game face and get back on track. I can't recommend this attraction at all.

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience at our Gallery. My apologies for this happening to you. We appreciate this feedback and will ensure this experience is not repeated. It is volunteers who operate our Gallery. There is not ever a good explanation for not welcoming guests to our Gallery. We hope you and your wife Brenda come by again so we can show you this is not the norm. Again, thank you for your review which will help make us better.

Purchased several pottery pieces and was amazed that everything was dishwasher safe. Truly gifted artists showing a variety of art mediums reflecting the beauty of the Okanagan. The volunteer staff is always interesting to talk to. The artisan who created the pottery I purchased was the volunteer on that day.

I love the artwork that reflects life in this area of Canada. From orchards to wildlife to people. I love the way the artists portray the desert and all it's secrets. Just beautiful!

Stopped by to see exhibition by Claudia Punter who's art runs the gamut from paintings to sculpture to fabrics. Wonderful works! We purchased a limited edition print to hang in our home reminding us of our trip through the mountains. Met Claudia in downtown gallery prior to visiting here. Lovely lady! So happy to have one of her works1

Thank you for your review. We"re so proud to have Claudia's "first solo" show at The Art Gallery Osoyoos. Claudia participates and supports local art in our community and is a testament to art in Osoyoos. Enjoy your art piece.
