In area, we decided to pop in to the Match Eatery for late lunch. What a horrible reception upon entering casino by security! I wore a mask (due to health reasons) which I dropped from face, produced pic ID, opened up my purse to expose all contents, proceeded to enter premise. Not good enough for this "overzealous" security guy, was told to "empty contents" onto an attached shelf to his podium! ALL was visible within my handbag! Told him "I will not", he then had audacity to say "Calm down"! How insulting, what condescension! Called Guest Service to complain, older woman told me repeatedly to "Don't take complaints unless in person. Must come down". Gawd, a 40 minute drive, 10-15 bucks in gas to receive same embarrassing, disrespectful treatment? Via phone calls got "shift manager", actually 3 shift managers in total. All unprofessional, inadequate. WORST is so-call "head of Security, Shane" who promised to look into if after viewing video (thought he would have before calling me JUNE 3.... incident occurred May 14... unprepared?) He set appt. to call me June 12 between 11am-1pm. I set aside day. It's now July, 2024 TO DATE Shane has NOT called. Stood up. Instead I learnt from BCLC Head Office that he CLOSED the unresolved complaint!? No wonder his staff are questionable, with him as an example. Wasted HOURS, DAYS, WEEKS just for a simple acknowledgement of a poor, bad experience. What a lousy rude welcome, WORSE Mickey Mouse establishment. Does NOT recognize, nor address any valid issues .... all departments are untrained, rude, inefficient. CLASSLESS CASINO.

Cascades casino has taken out the older machines that were less expensive to play and jackpots seemed to payout reasonably. The new machines are unreasonably expensive to play, and jackpots few and far between. Had to wait over 3 hours with attendant light on, and still no service. A customer volunteered to hold my spot and I finally got bathroom break. Also, machine glass had some slime on it, chair was dirty, and after three tries to get someone to clean, I used paper towel to clean it. Then machine stopped working, had to get door fellow to find attendant, and after they fixed, machine did not work properly. It stalled or spun quickly and I finally gave up and left. It appears that after Covid they just want their money back. It is really sad, as I used to enjoy going there.
