This park is by far the best in Abbotsford. Take a single loop in 20 minutes or cross the road and continue on for an extra 15 minutes. Smooth surface for all to walk - Wish the seniors would obey the signs and not feed the ducks as directed by city bylaws - don't want it turning in to 'dodge the droppings' like Mill Lake.

Every year since 2013 we have been camping at the Tamihi Creek Campground for two weeks, ending before Thanksgiving Day. This creek is a great camping ground and has many fishing holes that one can fish for Chums, Pinks,Chinook( Springs), Jacks and Coho. As for this year there an abundance of Springs, whilst lesser Chums, Pinks and Coho. The river level is relatively low for the Coho to come up river around mid Oct. Maybe good when there is more rainfall and later part of Oct or early Nov.
However, we enjoyed the lovely and peaceful campsite and also get to know more friendly campers and fishermen.
I hear that the Tamihi Creek is also a good place to fish for Steelheads around Jan/Feb.
We will be back next year for another two weeks of camping cum fishing.

This is a great place for a walk. Nice and well maintained trails and nice spots to stop and rest. Very flat and not particularly challenging but a nice park.

Nice walking route around the water. Don't miss the section you can find by crossing the road part way through your trip. The bridges can be slippery in the rain. Watch for birds!

Interesting park circlular route around waterways. Two areas for group picnics/parties. Not great for running unless you like running on pavement.

We live on Mill Lake and enjoy this park every day.Our next favorite is Fishtrap Creek. The creek is full of birds and it is a treat as they are only feet away from you. There are bridges crossing the creek and benches everywhere to sit and enjoy the beauty of this park. You will not be disappointed with a visit here.

Very nice park, however there is a lot of trash around the trails, and also in the water. Observed the ducks and a muskrat in and around the lake.

Fishtrap Creek is a part of the Discovery Trail system in Abbotsford. The trail is paved. It circles around a number of ponds that are often filled with ducks and geese. It's such a picturesque spot that is great for a quiet walk or run. It is close to a troubled area in Abbotsford (townline hill) but I have never noticed anything dangerous or threatening.
