We attended the Farm for the monarch 🦋 butterfly release. What a neat activity! We enjoyed the animals as well. Easy to book online & reasonable prices.

This is a nice family run farm with a cidery, places to walk around and see animals, apple barn, and activities for kids. Great place to come for a couple of hours on a nice day.

Loved how my hubs and I were able to take the dog, and the corn maze was pretty fun. Loved all the pumpkins and the cider was delish!

We come every year and love it!

I understand COVID is a hard time for everyone right now - but there were a few things going on when we visited yesterday I would like to note.

There were issues booking online and our QR codes not working when we showed up. Not once were our brackets checked and I felt like almost no one had one whereas we paid for the $48.00 family package.

Then we went to book a time slot for the jumping package. It was showing on their board behind them that it was included in the "family package" as it is every year BUT needed to be booked separate.

Booked it separate, was told to come back into the barn near the time. When we came back in, there was no one available to help us and was told I now needed to pay $25.00 for my two kids. I showed them their board behind them and the response was "due to COVID we needed to remove the jumping pillow and charge an additional fee". I then asked them why I wasn't informed on this before, again no one knew. I also asked why the sign behind them still said it was included and the response was "because we have been to busy in the past two weeks to put a piece of paper over it".

I love Taves, we love supporting them but going on a Thursday afternoon to help with crowds, the driving from downtown and then almost nothing was open was disappointed.

There was no food or cafe open, which I called earlier and the response was " it should be open"When we got there, it was all closed except the Cidery. The petting zoo was open but only goats ( which that would have been mentioned)

It ended up costing us about $120 for most places to be closed, only goats in petting zoo and so many people not wearing bracelets around us that it was quite disappointing.

At least fix the sign for the pillow!

We are so sorry for your experience! We were making further changes very quickly due to the pandemic and I believe you came while old signs were being removed and new ones were being added. Prices were increased as we were only able to accommodate a fraction of the guests we normally host, to offset fixed expenses. We also needed to rent out the jumping pillow separately so only covid bubbles were jumping together. People who want admission to the corn maze, hay ride etc need bracelets but otherwise they wouldn't need to buy them for venturing out to the pumpkin patch, for example, as it's free to explore. Very sorry to confuse! Please email us at info@tavesfamilyfarms.com as we would like to refund you. We look forward to a more normal season next fall!

Great place to spend some time - especially with children. Corn maze, lots of animals to see, and a general store to get treats. Washrooms on site as most children need a break when out and about.

Taves apple cider is lovely. They have multiple varieties and a nice little tasting room where you can sample them so you can decide which ones you love.

It was a fun place to go with very good food. I wish there had been more signs to explain where everything was.

We have visited every year for the last four years and have very much enjoyed our trips here. There is an excellent variety of activities, and our daughter has really enjoyed coming here.
Before today, I would have given this place 5 stars, but our experience today has changed things somewhat. We have always come on the weekends, but today, we went midweek as both my husband and I were off work. We were made to feel like we were in the way. There were a number of school groups (not surprising since it was midweek), but we were asked by staff to move or leave from 5 different areas and exhibits as school groups were coming- twice from a picnic shelter, once the Applebarn bee exhibit, then the goats and finally the hay ride (though this one was at least something that was posted on a sign).
I’m a teacher and I know how school tours and groups work. Usually, either the general public is not granted access to the areas that the school groups are or it’s not a big deal when someone else is around at the same time.
We will absolutely be back, but given that we were treated as an afterthought, perhaps a reduced admission fee for midweek during school group season would be in order?

Even though we visited today, which was the Thanksgiving holiday and busy, it was very enjoyable for all of us. Parking was crazy and the line ups for the entrance, food and store were very long. Once we got out to the pumpkin patch it was large enough to accommodate the crowds with lots of room to spare. We didn't try the corn maze or the hay ride. Basically just wandered around looking at the pumpkins. There are still a few sunflowers in bloom too add colour to the surroundings. Our family consisted of a 14 month old toddler to almost seniors, with all ages in between. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The entrance fee was just a bit high though.
