This is a beautiful place. The board walk is built on a lake and features beaver dams. Its not uncommon to see beavers there too. We saw one during our 30 mins of stay

The boardwalk is not difficult to walk on and anyone will be able to do it. If someone has mobility issues, then they may need some help in some parts.

The Beaver Boardwalk is a great place for quite reflective stroll or a great place to take a family. The industriousness of the beavers is easy to spot as they are constantly fortifying their dans and maintaining different water levels throughout the area.
Some of the boardwalk needs work but there are still plenty of paths to allow one to see the full area.
Best to visit in early evening to have the best chance to see the beavers in action

What a beautiful place. I’ve driven through Hinton so often and this is the first time I’ve been here. Easily accessible two minutes off the highway bordering on backyards but hidden from them. Spend ten minutes sitting overlooking the lake or stroll around the lake on an hour walk. Check out the amazing beaver dams with the dramatic water level changes. Beautiful place not to be missed. Great place for lunch or a visit or a break from the highway.

Great outdoor activity to get our kiddos (15 and 11) off their electronic devices. They loved exploring the area on the trails. We went around 2 PM and explored until 5:30 PM (no beavers yet). We had dinner and came back around 9:30 PM. We were able to watch six beavers! A nice gentleman shared with us and another family that the beavers like to hang out over by the lake.

Visited the Beaver Boardwalk while we stayed in Hinton last week. were advised to go late afternoon/early evening and were not disappointed. Saw 5/6 lovely beeaver pups as they made their way out into the lake. Lovely place for all ages.

I have been to this boardwalk a few times over the past 3 years. The boardwalk itself has slowly been deteriorating, but instead of repairing it, the town seems to be content to simply close off the various affected sections.
Even though a number of areas were boarded off and the elevated platform no longer stands, it is still a very nice and enjoyable walk. There are a number of trails that connect all around this boardwalk, so you can explore as much or little as you want.
The main "advertised" entrance to the boardwalk system is not easily accessible for people with limited mobility. However, the trail system surrounding it weaves it's way by various residential areas that have a 'flat entrance' to the trails (as opposed to the small hill at the main entrance).
There is both shady, forested areas for when the sun is out and temperatures are hot and the open main boardwalk area. And yes, actual beavers can potentially be seen here if you are lucky.
This is a nice relaxing escape for anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Easy trail, you can also access a lot of other trails from this location. The map was a little difficult to read so you can easily get lost if you aren't paying attention. Some of the boardwalk was closed off as it was unsafe at the time, I believe they will be doing some maintenance soon. Unfortunately we were not able to see any beavers however we did see muscrats which were just as lovely and adorable. I would recommend this for a nice easy afternoon walk especially if you have kids. We were able to use our stroller for the entire walk. Do be careful if doing this however as the boardwalk is pretty narrow.

This is a great outing for the whole family. The whole area is beautiful. Although we saw no beaver, we certainly saw their handiwork. Unfortunately, the water was so high in places, the boardwalk was underwater. Well signed, however.
The interpreter-signage was excellent.

We didn't see any animals, but enjoyed a casual walk along the boardwalk. Unfortunately, we didn't really know where we were going, as signage (before starting, and while walking) left something to be desired. I'd more accurately give this a 3.5/5 if I could.

Very interesting area. Poorly maintained, a lot of boardwalk was underwater and you could not pass. Signs were hard to understand as well as to where you were. Needs some time out into it to make better. I think the beavers had dammed their water up too much!!! Needs to be better as this is the towns call to fame!
