My sons and I went through Patrick's outdoor lead climbing lesson last weekend. It was fantastic. Patrick is an excellent instructor and we feel that we have a good base of knowledge to work from now as we build on our experience level.
For the record, my almost 17-year-old son got a tremendous amount from the course. My 14-year-old son will still need to be re-taught a lot as we go but he now knows the risks involved in climbing outdoors and the importance of acting carefully and thoughtfully when planning and executing our adventures.

Best choice for an outdoor climb, especially if it’s your first time. I was glad I went with someone that had the knowledge to explain everything. Made it a lot nicer knowing you could trust your belayer. Wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the heights but went smooth. Walked away understanding more than I thought I would and the confidence to tackle bigger climbs. Would recommend for anyone looking to get out there.

We had fhe best time ice climbing with Patrick just outside of Banff. Patrick was calm, knowledgeable, an excellent teacher and made us feel confident in our abilities and the terrain. Would absolutely recommend and hope I get to do it again one day!

Ice climbing half day was perfect. Our guide (Ben) was awesome, and had us safely climbing in no time. It was our first time ice climbing, but we managed to do it and felt safe the whole time. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try it themselves. It was just two of us plus our guide, so the half day seemed like plenty. For more than two people though, I would say a full day is needed to ensure everyone gets to climb more than once.

I did the Ice Climbing Course 1 which was a 2 day event, and I would like to give a big thanks to Patrick for making this trip safe and fun for the group! The whole experience was fantastic and there was plenty of climbing to do! Highly recommend this course if you are looking to learn how to ice climb! I will definitely be back for a continued ice climbing course, and for sure rock climbing as well!

So worth it!! I was local but moved away, hiring a guide especially Patrick from Ridgeline offered the best adventures of the trip. Patrick taught me to lead years ago and he taught my boyfriend this trip then we headed out to the Ghost for some real adventuring! Highly highly recommend, positive attitude and pleasant to be around.

Had the most amazing private ice climbing tour with Patrick. We learned so much and will definitely be back. He caters to your level and really goes above and beyond for the clients. So grateful!

Patrick was a great guide! Highly recommended! Got to climb up a frozen waterfall twice. Super fun and safe, but tiring!

Patrick was an absolute delight guiding us through our first outdoor climbing experience. He introduced us to all the kit and safety precautions with professionalism and clarity, all the while giving us a spectacularly fun day. We felt safe every minute, learned tonnes, and look forward to coming back again for another day of climbing with Ridgeline.
