Trails were closed due to bear activity, but we still walked a short distance. Great to commune with nature and good view of the valley.

The Sites on the way were nice and the views were impressive. The water was clear and cold. On the drive, we came across wildlife and watched them from the car.

Grassi Lakes is an incredibly gorgeous lake! Be sure to take a stroll along the lake's edge on a well defined trail.

This is a lovely destination for a picnic and an easy walk in the woods. Pick a mid week time to avoid the popularity of this spot.

A moderate walk with some steep inclines, but otherwise the path was not difficult; it was several feet wide and graveled, like an access road. The path itself was not as enjoyable as the lakes at the destination. Beautiful, crystal clear blue water at least...More

The last day of our vacation, we decided to not travel to Banff and instead stay close to our chalet in Canmore. We hiked the popular Grassi Lakes trail for an enjoyable and easy hike. There is a "harder way" with some stone walk switchbacks...More

If you want an easy hike with great views, Grassy lake is easy to access close to the Nordic center in Cannmore. Great day out, maybe in combination with a lunch in Cannmore.

The hike up to Grassi lakes is worth it !! Stunning crystal clear turquoise lakes. Along the hike we seen a couple of deer. Bring some water on a hot summer day to keep hydrated. We took the easy route

Not as far as I know. You can check out Banff national park website. There maybe smoke from BC wildfires if anyone has a chest problem.

There were people wading in the upper lake (not sure of the name) as it is deeper but not really deep. Very cold mountain water though! 😊
