Beautiful day for a hike, we are of average fitness and it took us about 45 minutes on the difficult trail to get to the top. There is quite a bit of parking but it does fill up. Would not recommend taking little kids on...More

If you don't want to drive far for a hike, this one is a nice way to spend a morning. there are 2 options for your walk. Easy and a little more strenuous so accessible for everyone.

This is a quick, fairly easy hike with two beautiful, incredibly clear and reflective lakes at the top. There are two different trails to take up or down the hike, one marked easier and one marked harder. We took the easier path as we’d just...More

Wonderful place. We checked into our hotel in canmore and it was only 10 mins drive from there. I'll highly recommend going there during early morning hours or around sunset. When there is no sunlight on the water, this lake glows and shows it's true...More

Beautiful easy hike to do with kids. There are two routes an easy gravel road but the views are not as great as the other hiking path. The hiking path is probably a bit harder because it has stairs but still easy for older kids....More

We saw a great horned owl roosting on the rocks by one of the lakes. The lakes are pretty, as is the waterfall, and the 'more difficult' route is not a problem, even for a septugenarian.

We parked and said forget the trail already there. I was with a couple teenagers (14&15)and we decided to hike up the falls via the power plant. It can be wet and slippery at times as we went straight up the first part of the...More

Definitely do as the others have said and take the difficult path up. Very rewarding views of falls and the valley. The easy trek is definitely easier and much less rocky and steep- but it’s boring. The difficult path is more interesting and exciting with...More

We wanted a quick but interesting hike near town, and Grassi Lakes was ideal. There is an easy as well as a more difficult way to get up the mountain (take the more difficult path if you can as its much more scenic ie. waterfall)....More

There were many dogs (on leash of course) when I was there. They do have to walk past each other coming and going.

Yes as long as the stroller has big wheels. We have a schwinn stroller that would have worked. An umbrella or stroller with plastic wheels would not be recommended. Do not try the hard way with a stroller as the path is... More
