What a beautiful hike, and view from the top! However, be aware of the scramble if you are afraid of heights. I would highly recommend, and it isn't just because of my hubby proposing to me at the top. :) It is a strenuous hike,...More

This hike is easy to get to and takes an average hiker approximately 3 hours to climb and 2 hours to descend. Always a hike we do when we visit Canmore!

The hike is steep but the path is well maintained. We even passed a runner training for iron man (actually he passed us, twice!) The top is above the tree line, and the brave souls that look over the edge are rewarded with a panoramic...More

Fantastic 360 views at the top. This hike can get busy after 10 a.m. Strenuous hike with a wide, well-groomed trail. The last quarter of the hike is in the sun so wear sun screen! Total time was 1.5 hours up and 1.5 down.

Be sure to use proper foot wear as run into loose shale/skree near the top. Water and energy food good idea. If affected by altitude water and dark chocolate helps. Moderate level hike as while not mountain climbing, there are some steeper parts

So... ages 62-66 hiked to the top. All reasonably fit, took us 2.5 hours to ascend and 1.5 to return. Spoke with some locals in town prior to going who said it was easy to moderate but we are not use to the altitude and...More

Not a super long hike, but quite steep. Nice views while going up, and absolutely stunning at the top. If you’re not afraid of heights, you can have a nice picnic near the ledge at the top, overlooking Canmore. Breathtaking!

One of the standout features in Canmore. A visit at sunrise is recommended to really appreciate the beauty of the mountain. Great history to the name.

Great views of the townsite and valley, and a shorter hike lasting 2-3 hours. Its steep the entire way up.

If you are physically fit you will be able to manage this route, even if you don't regularly hike. It is almost exclusively uphill the whole way but apart from the rocky top 10%, it is mostly straightforward trail and difficult to get too lost,...More
