About
Golf on the Roof of the World - When the game of golf is played on a course carved out of original Rocky Mountain terrain, something fundamental changes. There is a mystery built in. Not just the practical question of where the ball will land, but how will you ever return to urban golf after a magical mountain golfing experience like the one at Silvertip. Designed by world renowned architect Les Furber, the course plays from an approachable 5,089 yards to an awesome championship 7,173 yards, with over 600 feet of elevation change, making it the single most breathtaking mountain course in the world for literally any level of play.

Perfect weather for 2 rounds on the weekend. Unfortunately there is construction going on around 3 holes which takes away from the beauty of the course a bit. Some greens had transplanted turf which didn't look very good. Staff in the pro shop and on the course were excellent and very friendly.

Had an amazing round of golf in the most beautiful place on earth. The staff was amazingly friendly. They had reduced the fees appropriately since a few of the holes were under repair. Would definitely play again!

I have played Silvertip probably a dozen times and it has been great. Unfortunately it seems they are putting a preference into building up the residential area instead of focusing on the golf course. We were provided a discounted rate because hole #5 is on a temporary green. They failed to also include that you drive through noisy construction for holes 5, 6 and 8, hole 6 is surrounded by construction fences, hole 8 tee box is ripped up so everyone plays from the forward tees (essentially making it a par 4). Several holes have been changed and are newly sodded to accommodate the neighboring houses so that they get hit less. Several greens also have newly sodded areas. Bunkers on hole #11 are being redone and surrounded by snow fences. Because of all of the house construction, there are several holes on the back nine that are incredibly noisy from all of the construction.

Would highly recommend playing other courses in the area. I would give Silvertip 3-5 years to get sorted out.

Top marks for facilities, staff and the course! From the pro shop to the driving range to the starter - the Silvertip Resort is excellent! This is a gorgeous challenging course surrounded by snow capped mountains. My new favourite course!

from beginning to end this course was Top Notch -- From the beautiful restaurant patio with breathtaking views to the golf course to the Pro Shop.

The course was in excellent condition from the greens to the fairways. The elevated tees let you take in the stunning scenery. We rented clubs which were current year professional clubs.

Above all else the staff at the golf course, pro shop and restaurants were all friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

My husband and I loved golfing Silvertip. We are from Saskatchewan, so the terrain and views are definitely different from home! Be prepared to walk and lots of elevation changes on foot - we each walked ~10,000 steps and climbed the equivalent of 23 flights of stairs, and we had a cart! The cart path between holes is a beautiful drive through the rugged landscape and is a treat itself.

COVID summer of golf! So beautiful and well worth the pricey golf fees. I played great! My second best round this summer of 91.

The staff are superb and such incredible views of the three sisters.

We decided to come here for dinner one night while visiting Canmore. And we weren't disappointed!

What an incredible view from the patio! Just amazing!

Service was excellent (thanks, Luke!).

Food was good (beef dip & fish tacos), prices were very reasonable, and combined with the view & the service, just an outstanding experience!

Really wish we had the opportunity to golf it, but only so much time & too much to do on Holidays.

Would absolutely recommend it!

We golfed here one afternoon in August and just had a blast. The course is interesting and unlike anything I've ever really played before. Stunning views of course, but also the holes were different with some stunning elevation changes and creative shot-making required. The course didn't always reward a good shot, as the fairways can be uneven and rolling - but that just made things more interesting for us - ball above your feet, ball below your feet, etc - just made finding a creative shot even more fun - and rewarding if you could pull it off.
We were also rewarded with some local wildlife on a couple of holes - so keep your eyes open.
Definitely worth a return visit - might choose a different strategy on a couple holes.
