Avens Gallery, an international art shopping destination, represents +40 established local and Western Canadian artists. As we strolled , we stopped and visited the Avens Gallery .it was a nice visit to see the different western Canadian artist .

I wish I could remember the name of the staff member who welcomed us to the gallery as he was so knowledgeable, friendly and spent a lot of time with us and yet there was no pressure to purchase. It is a beautiful space and they handle many wonderful artists. We will definitely come back.

Love the art in this gallery. Well worth the visit. Try to take about 30 minutes and discuss with the staff.

Extremely helpful and wonderful staff. The art was perfect for what our style is. Pieces were new and fresh and many one of a kinds!

It's always nice paying this gallery a visit. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they have such a gorgeous selection of local and international art. I was just browsing, but that's okay.

That is more than okay! Avens Gallery hosts monthly events and our display changes weekly—very community-oriented.
An original, one of a kind art tour is an excellent addition to your day, no matter what that looks like. Art feeds the soul, so please enjoy our welcoming space as often as you can!

We stop into Avens Gallery pretty much on every trip into Canmore. The art displays change and showcase new and interesting pieces. Great representation of the west. We've purchased pictures for ourselves and for wedding gifts. Always a pleasure to visit and chat with the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The gallery itself it well designed with floating walls, great lighting, dark ceiling and muted colours. They display the works of a huge variety of Canadian artists and have many more in storage in the back. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable on the art and artists. Lovely place to browse and a great source to buy from.

This gallery features art from numerous western Canadian artists and includes oils, acrylics, and sculptures. The staff is friendly and informative, encouraging you to browse and just enjoy the art. They also feature different artists, often having them visit to chat and sometimes do demonstrations. The gallery itself is lovely and the artwork is displayed beautifully. The displays are changed frequently enough that there is always something new to view and appreciate.

Right on the main street, it is easy to find and the art in the windows is always an enticement to go in. They have a wide variety of artists and medium to view and appreciate. We have bought some pieces there over the years and continue to enjoy them. Well worth a stop, even if you don't buy the first visit!
