Quarry Lake was reclaimed from one of Canmore's attempts at surface coal mining. The engineer in charge of the reclamation is a keen fisherman, so it has been stocked with some quite energetic trout. It's catch-and-release, and lots of people seem to be successful. Lots...More

Lots of families, dogs at dog park, and swimmers in the water. It is close to town, flat, and gorgeous. Good place for a picnic or to sit on a bench. Was very pleasant reprieve from the hussle and bussle of town.
