This covered bridge is a nice destination for a car or bike ride. Romantic place to get a kissing pic. Artists often set up easels to paint a pic of the bridge. This bridge is part of the historical heritage of Mennonite country.

Although there are MANY covered bridges in Ohio, there are not a lot of them in Ontario so we decided to visit this local historic landmark. It is nice to see, especially if you have not seen many of these in your neighborhood. While driving...More

When in the Waterloo area, you should really make a point to drive the extra hour out of your way to see this wonderful monumental bridge. It is the last covered bridge in Ontario, built in 1880. It is a real part of history and...More

We made the short detour to West Montrose on our journey from Toronto to St. Jacobs. It is only a short drive from the highway, and, to be fair, is little more than a photo opportunity. It was nevertheless good to see the last-remaining covered...More

The people that live across from the river are unfriendly, cruel and unwelcoming. Save yourself the trip as they go out of their way to harass and threaten the public that wants to see such a magnificent and beautiful site. The homeowners ruin the experience...More

These bridges are soon to be a thing of the past, that is why I got some pics with my kids on the weekend. Very nice, hope it stays in good shape.

One of the few covered bridges left in Ontario. It is located in the village of West Montrose which is a mixture of the original homes and now has a typical suburbia attached to it.

So quaint and rustic. Quintessential country! We launched our canoe here and paddled down to Bridgeport on the Grand river. Would be amazing in the fall. Don’t leave the Waterloo region without visiting here.

We were in the area and decided to stop by as we saw the sign. The bridge is very well kept and neat to see. There is a little Park there to park and a short little walk to the bridge. Keep in mind that...More
