I haven't been back to Parry Sound since I was a pre teen. I have always been a Bobby Orr fan since my father said to me in the late 1960's watch this player he's from my home town and he's going to be the best player in the NHL. I attended his hockey camp in the 1970's. He has always been my favourite player. I recently returned to Parry Sound to spread my fathers ashes, and I know he would want me to see the Bobby Orr Hall of fame. I felt like a kid again as my wife was happy to see the smile on my face. What a great personal collection of memorabilia. The only thing missing was Bobby Orr himself.

the place is small but you get to see a lot of interesting things some from when he was young only need to go once

this was a fun experience, growing up hearing about bobby orr and how much he means to this town. I would recommend this to any hockey enthusiast, it's a worthwhile experience

The boys were very disappointed that not all activities were there like last year. Quite expensive. The young girl was helpful and came up right away when the goalie and puck got stuck.[10+] Unfortunately one spilled his water bottle. When he went down to report it, the cleaner said I will be there in 5-10 minutes. She was very rude. When she came up, she half way mopped it with a towel,leaving large wet spots. She looked at the boys and said..you know you can't have food or drinks in here. No where did we see a sign stating that, and other patrons had water bottles. Very disappointed in her. Not a positive way to treat tourists.

I had very little expectation but it was a rainy day so we went. Just seeing Bobby's childhood "stuff" would have been enough but then I saw the actual stick that "The Goal" was scored with. Wow, what a treat! There were other cool things in a small dedicated space but seeing that stick was just awesome.

Having been a Bobby Orr fan for 50 years, this was a must see. It is very informative about Bobby from when he was a young child till his career was over. It had memorabilia from his minor hockey days, through junior hockey and his full NHL career.
It is a very small centre but for a true fan it was very informative and a must see.

Even if you are not a hockey fan this is a great place to visit. I learned a lot more about out national sport and how Bobby Orr changed the game. Lots of interactive stuff for kids. Right across the street from the harbour tours so it can be combined. Great hockey gift shop.

Like the hockey hall of fame but on a smaller scale, They have the same shooting games as the Hall of Fame in TO but you could have them all to yourselves. My son and I spent an hour shooting pucks there one morning. We've been a few times in the summer and it has never been crowded. Definitely worth the visit. Possibly busier on rainy summer days, we were there on sunny days both times.

Located in the same building as the theatre, it is located on the shores of the lake. They have ample free off-street parking.
Adult entry fee is $9.00, but you can find a 2 for 1 coupon on-line that you print and present at the check-in. The lower floor is the gift shop at the entrance and numerous displays inside the hall of fame.
They start as a 4 or 5 year old, when he started playing hockey and followed his career through each level of competition. Very interesting to see how it worked before the days of the entry draft. They also have a TV showing greatest hits DVD. Lots of jerseys and photographs, with everything having a brief description.
Upstairs they have some table games and a couple of mock hockey rinks with some sticks.
Definitely worth a visit.
