This is the second time I've seen this tribute to fishing in Lake-of-the-Woods. The first time, when my wife was alive, in 2017, we jokingly referred to this as being the reason for our cross country trip. We went from Banff to Nova Scotia on a road trip, and then back through the U.S. When we arrived in Kenora, it was raining hard, but I still got some great pictures of Husky that time.
This time, coming east to west instead, it was even better. It wasn't raining.
You can park in the parking lot across the street. There is a small park there, and then you can follow a walkway under the bridge, and come up on the other side of the road for the small park containing Husky the Muskie. There is no parking anywhere on the side of the road that he is on.
Husky himself is an impressive, nicely done statue of a muskie fish, surrounded by some modest but pretty flower gardens.
I truly feel that this statue was worth stopping for both times. To me it's a bit of local pride. The fact that it's there says this is a fishing town and we're proud of it. So, if you want to see something unique in Kenora, other than just driving by and seeing it in your car window as you pass by, relax a little if you have the time, and see it in person.

I caught Husky The Muskie way back in 1971. Best day of my life. It was +22 and the clouds were picturesque. I spent 3 and a half hours trying to pull this big boy up.

This is a fabulous view of the waterfront in Kenora. Husky is a great marker for a meeting and the lawns and flowers always well kept

We had this on our itinerary when we found out about Husky the Musky. It was right on the road to our hotel and made a fun 15-minute stop.

There's plenty of parking, it's a nice short walk, with an underpass under the roadway and by the water. Not only is Husky there but you get a good view of downtown Kenora across the bay.

The statue of Husky Muskie is the mascot of Kenora. You can also see a water foundation nearby also.

Most people come to Kenora to catch walleye.
They don't expect to be caught by a Musky!
This big boy really knows how to reel them in.
From high school grads to blushing brides and
Grooms everyone wants to be in the picture with
Husky.
LOTW is full of them too. many of these very large fish
Are protected and live to a ripe old age too.
Just watch where to dip your toes!!

It is there, it is huge, it is special and worth taking your time to see it ! It is a bit outside of Kenora, not fare and close to a parking spot what is convenient!

Great must see sculpture that is easily accessible located on the picturesque waterfront. Largest Muskie we have ever seen! Very nice short walk in a beautiful environment. Love the historical and factual markers that provide history and learning.

In the summer, the gardens around this are very beautiful and maintained. It's a super location for photos and a good view of the harbour front of Kenora.

Rumor has it this musky is the biggest musky in the world. I even heard it use to eat little kids before it was caught in 1867. Just. Amazing.
