We visited Lions Lookout for the sunset. Views was not special at all. So if you are in huntsville and have nothing to do, you can go. But don‘t expect anything special there.

Reached by a winding road to the top, this is one of the best places in the area to see fall colours in the Huntsville area, where you can see 360 degrees around town and the surrounding lakes and river - lots of photography opportunities....More

The lookout is ok but nothing spectacular. Maybe it is nicer during the fall season when the trees are changing colours. The lookout faces the town - which is not as great as looking out the opposite way over the lake and wooded area. Note...More

There are times when you just want to stand still and look at the view. There are times when you just want to stand still and remember the science.

Really nice spot for quick stop and enjoyment fantastic overview on town and lake accessible by car or steep walk In nice sunny day view is unbelievable. Relaxing time over the weekend or just quick stop during week days. Definitely worth of checking

If you want to see Fall colours in their glory, Huntsville's Lion's Lookout is one of the best places of see them. I would recommend going mid-week if you are able .... usuallythe last week in September is a good bet.

Don't expect it to be an easy walk up...'cause it isn't. What it IS...is...worth it. That said I've only done it in the summer and the fall when the colours will knock you on your behind. It's GREAT!!!

Easy to find, not far from downtown Huntsville and a great view over the town and the lake. A steep drive but it is drivable all the way to the top. No charge.

One of the better lookouts on my roadtrip to Muskoka area, it gives a beautiful view of the city of Huntsville.
