Always delightful coming here.

The person working there was very friendly and informative. The museum was interesting the stroll through. Great artifacts from an earlier time.

A local museum with interesting and significant artifacts relating to the famous now-defunct Collingwood shipbuilding company.

This Museum and Visitor's Centre is a great place to check in before you begin your holiday in the Collingwood area. The building is beautiful inside and out and they have pamphlets about every kind of adventure you might like to undertake! Our group watched the fascinating video about "side launching", something we knew nothing about previously. We are now... More

Small museum plus tourist information desk. Friendly knowledgeable staff. In replica building of heritage Railway Station that previously stood on the site ( very well done replica!! ) Professional displays in museum part of the shipbuilding history of Collingwood.

Our family was here last week and decided to take a tour of the museum. Although its quite small ,only an hour to tour the entire thing, it does provide a great backdrop to the local history. Overall we did enjoy our time here

If you are anywhere near the town Collingwood and/or its museum, add it to your trip. We had one of the best experiences when we visited. The museum is very informative and well laid out. A lot of local information about the ship building on Lake Simcoe. The staff were just amazing, friendly, helpful and truly attentive. We met two... More

We visited the Collingwood museum as something to do for the day...we had spent only a half hour in there because half of the museum was shut down..the didn't have all their artifacts set up...we paid reg. Donation price...and no one warned us it wasn't properly set up ...we would have donated a little less if we knew...we will try... More

This is not a large museum. An hour's visit will take one through the whole of the exhibits. It provides a nice historical background for understanding the area and its development as a shipbuilding and trading community. Admission is by suggested, modest donation.

This is a volunteer-run museum and of its type is OK. At the moment the items are a bit eclectic having been collected by various means and there is not (yet) sufficient coherence in the displays to give a very full picture of the origin and development of the town. This will probably evolve as the museum grows and funding... More

Local history abounds. As the title says, it is small but interesting with friendly staff. And the price (free) can't be beat. It's a good place to take children.
