We had a great time at the beach for this little festival. It was a beautiful sunny day and it was packed. This is a family beach with numerous life guard towers on an all sand beach. This is the perfect place to catch a few rays, work on your tan...and people watch!

Awesome beach, but hard to enjoy yourselves when you have 17-year-old lifeguards on power-trips blowing their whistles and using their bullhorns every 3 minutes to yell at everyone for just about anything. Made 4 little kids cry while we were there (on separate occasions), scared away a couple in an inflatable dingy with paddles that just wanted to take their... More

It's a nice beach in a small Ontario town. Expansive white sand. The water is clean and clear, but some seaweed does wash up. The day we were there was very busy.

We moved to Cobourg a year ago and don't regret a single minute. There is so much going on in the summer that its hard to keep up with everything. People are genuine and friendly and will stop and talk at most opportunities. Fantastic place to raise children with walks in the Northumberland Forest or trips on the train to... More

This is a great place. I have more than 25 years living in Canada and this has been the first time I felt like I was in the Caribbean. Incredible clear water and sandy beach. We will definitely return to Cobourg to spend our vacations!

Lovely clean beach. They have a nice setup: paid parking, washrooms, kids splash pad, a small store with shaved ice, hotdogs etc., even a DJ playing old '80's classic tunes on part of the beach! It does get VERY crowded though.

Cobourg beach is a long wide beach located on Lake Ontario. The water is a bit murky full of algae. once you pass the algae the water was swimable if you could stand the cold. The sand is nice for making sand castles. more washrooms are needed especially when thousands are there. Overall nice place to visit in the summer... More

August long weekend brings out the artistry along this beach. Sand sculptures of all ages gather, from the kids with a bucket and shovel to the accomplished artists from all over North America. It's a beautiful beach and this is the weekend to go and enjoy the art, fun and sun. Don't forget your sunscreen and enjoy the beach!
