This park is difficult to find for the out of towners, bu tthe nearby Wish Centre will give you directions and info. I was there this past week and there are beautiful flower pots and the park is clean. It makes the neighbourhood look that much better. A proud part of South side Chatham! Thank you to all who helped get this off the ground!!!

Nice little park to relax in during walking my dog. There could more upkeep on the area but ok for the most part.

Hi There, We are sorry to hear that you find the park needs more upkeep. The Park is taken care of by Volunteers in the Community - they are the ones who do the weeding and planting there. With that being said tonight we are planting Mums in the park, so I hope you stop by and check it out again. Also a great time to visit is in the Winter when someone from the Community puts a hat and scarf on the bust of Mary Ann Shadd! It's definitely our favourite time to stop in.

This little park was smaller than expected. It's small park in a crowded residential area. If you blink, you may miss it like I did at first. It's a great way to recognize the many firsts this site wads part of.

Went here by Walking Tour from the Black Mecca Museum. Cute little park. Enjoyed learning about the BME Park and peoples from the area.

Hi Chelsea, Thanks for stopping in to our Park. I hope you enjoyed the area. A little fact I often like to brag about is that in the Winter time someone from the area (we don't know who) brings a knitted hat and scarf and puts it on the bust of Mary Ann Shadd, it just goes to show how important her and the church were to the community.
