Lovely park, with a great story behind it. Be sure to read the historic plaque!
We tented there for three nights, and didn't realize until the middle of the first night that the washrooms are locked during the night! There was no one in the office when we arrived at 6:30pm on Thursday. Since we had prepaid on line, we didn't worry -- until it was too late. The next morning, by chance, the grass was being cut, and an employee clued us in that we needed a key.
I wish this information had been posted on the office and washroom doors.
If it had, I would have given the park a much higher rating.

Great waterfront beach with life guards, picnic pavillions for those family reunions, washrooms, a snack bar, a playground for the kids....

Wonderful park with very historic setting on St. lawrence River. Excellent picnic spot, play area for children, great view of boats and freighters going by. Beach in summer, with walking trails connecting to other city trails.

Very quiet and cool area for picnic during the hot summer. Swimming area is quite small but the water seems really clean and clear.

We took our children to this park to go swimming. It boasts a very nice beach that is in a small secluded bay on the St. Lawrence River. The beach is small, but it is really quite nice. The water is warm for the St. Lawrence and it has Life Guards always on duty. It has a nice sand area for kids to play as well as a dock that older children can jump off. The park also has a canteen that serves a small amount of snacks for a reasonable price. There are a few playgrounds as well scattered over the park in addition to a beach volleyball area. Parking is free. Would absolutely go back to this park.

St. Lawrence Park is a great place to spend a hot summers day. It hosts a good sandy beach for the kids or to simply soak up the sun. There are plenty of swings and slides for the kids plus lots of picnic areas.

Stopped for lunch here on a road trip from Ottawa to Kingston. Good views of the seaway, sadly lacking in traffic at the time of our visit, and friendly people. Good place to break the journey.

The hilly site gives lots of options for walking, camping and viewing the river. The pavilion is a welcome spot on hot or rainy days
