To me, jumping into a cool black lake is a rite of summer in Ontario. I don't have a cottage and at this point in my life I don't know anyone who does so I have been sorely missing this. There are lots of great places to walk into a lake but I want to JUMP right in so I have been searching Google Earth for likely spots. We were on our way to one possibility in Cornwall when we stopped for lunch in Brockville and our waitress told us about this park. It was PERFECT! OK, no worn cedar floating dock and more urban than the usual cottage but the jumping is great. The water is super clean, no weeds, VERY deep. The jump is higher than the usual cottage dock but not scary for any of our group. There are ladders all along so you can jump in from anywhere. And there are lots of people jumping so you don't feel weird. AND there are changes rooms! This is going to be a summer tradition whenever we pass Brockville.

This is a really pretty waterfront park just a short walk from the main street in Brockville. The park has some great spots to sit and watch the water and boats. And there is a public washroom open during the day. If you are a Scuba diver, there is an amazing underwater park with life sized sculptures and training platforms!

Walking through the park as part of a river front stroll and diving around the underwater figures practicing buoyancy were both pleasurable.

It doesn't get better than swimming here.. Perfect little park on the St. Lawrence. Always clean and lots of room for everyone. Great place for a quick refreshing dip and a picnic lunch. One of my favorite places in the city!

The park is nicely prepared for divers, and a lot use it as a training platform. There are statues in the water, and they look cool. Water temperature was excellent at end of August, as I only used my 3mm suit (with a 3mm vest). Visibility was very limited, and not much marine life to see. The park itself can use some cleaning, I wonder why people do not pick up behind their dogs!
