Summer or winter fun.

You can walk the paths during the summer and birdwatch. Or you can throw on snowshoes or cross country skis and take in the trails and beauty during the winter.

This is a great place for walking the trails with the whole family. We brought our young son and our dogs (on leash) and had a fantastic afternoon. There are lots of picnic tables too, so pack a snack! The geese and swan were very entertaining.

Great place to walk with the dogs, kids, or family. The trails are always well maintained and there are lots of different options.

Bring your bug spray and stay on the trails as there is a lot of wild parsnip in the area. Beautiful spot!

One of the nicest things about Brockville, is it's wide and vast array of places to go for walks either alone, or with your canine companion. Mac Johnson Wildlife Area has a place to park, lots of areas to walk your dog and yourself. The ducks and geese were plentiful, the wildlife in the area is plentiful. Being close to... More

A great place to hike and appreciate nature close to Brockville. At any time of year the paths around the back pond are a way of getting back to nature. My two favourite things about the back pond are the beaver pond and their white swan program. The white swans are large, majestic creatures and we have started to see... More

Mac Johnson is a great place to get out for a walk and enjoy nature. They have lots of great activities going on throughout each season and, for the most part, activities are free! There are some great trails and lots to see! A great spot to spend an afternoon.

We love going here for skating in the winter. Beautiful large pond. Plenty of swans in the area often as well. Nice fire pit area to warm up at. They have hotdog BBQ sometimes which are a treat. Heated change cabin for putting on skates is usually open on weekends. Such a beautiful and peaceful area

We discovered this gem in February and thoroughly enjoyed the x-country ski trails, the pond skating and the nature centre. Cant wait to go back for spring and fall hikes etc.
